Completely redesigned and renovated in 2012, the villa embraces a sophisticated "Total White" aesthetic enriched by striking references to the colours of the sea, from deep ultramarine to shimmering aquamarine. Sardinian wax ceramics in dramatic Mediterranean blue tones have been inlaid into polished white floors, while the common areas throughout the property maintain the same refined palette of white with ceramic inserts in shades of blue and aquamarine. Several furnishings, including tables, have been specially designed and hand-crafted with a modern white structure and Cerasarda mosaic inserts, typical of the region, achieving a contemporary effect that simultaneously honours the local artistic tradition. The villa has also been designed to optimise energy sources, enabling use in maximum respect for the environment. The property is set within an approximately 8,000 square metre park and offers guests access to a private synthetic grass tennis court with night lighting, high-speed Internet WiFi connectivity, and a generous yard richly planted with typical Sardinian palm trees, date palms, lentiscus, myrtle, and helichrysum. The resort is situated within the area known as "Punta Tramontana," or Sunset Point, where the sun sets later than in the rest of Italy and in June descends at approximately 21:45, painting the sky in extraordinary shades of orange and red over the Gulf of Asinara.

Outdoors

The outdoor spaces of Villa Ambra are nothing short of extraordinary, offering a seamless blend of natural beauty and thoughtfully designed recreational areas. The approximately 8,000 square metre park is a lush Mediterranean landscape featuring dozens of typical Sardinian palm trees, ten date palms, lentiscus, myrtle, and helichrysum. 2 very large verandas provide generous covered spaces, each furnished with a 12-seater table, seating areas, and a gym. A gazebo near the pool features a large 12-seater granite table and is positioned adjacent to a barbecue area and outdoor professional kitchen. A second gazebo facing the pool contains a comfortable 6-seater chaise longue arrangement, while a cosy hammock positioned on the hill offers a stunning panoramic view over the entire coastline and the island of Asinara. An additional relaxation area is located next to the tennis court and features a round granite table. The private synthetic grass tennis court is regulation size and equipped with lighting for evening play. Within the adjacent field, a private heliport is also available. The magnificent sea-water infinity pool is situated approximately 15 metres from the villa and is easily accessible from the garden via a natural slope surrounded by a light-coloured sandy beach. The pool measures 13 metres in length for swimming and reaches a maximum depth of 1.30 metres. It features salt purification and is lined in special white plaster. The sunbathing area surrounding the pool is equipped with various deckchairs and umbrellas. A hydro-massage Softub tub with heated seawater and a solar shower complete the pool area. The pool is a non-heated sea-water infinity pool and is available from the second Saturday of May to the first Saturday of October. Please note that photographs of the property were taken in spring, and therefore the blossoming of flowers and the colour of the garden grass may differ from what you observe upon arrival.

Unit Layout

Villa Ambra is composed of 2 separate buildings and accommodates up to a maximum of 10 guests across 5 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms. The main villa is a two-storey structure accessed through a portico and into the main open-plan kitchen via sliding windows of the veranda. The veranda and external portico are furnished with numerous seating, dining, and relaxation areas, allowing guests to enjoy the unique marine landscape at any time of day. A staircase at the entrance, positioned between the veranda and the kitchen, leads up to a large loft on the upper level, which features a double bed, a Jacuzzi tub, and a bathroom with shower. On the ground floor, accessible from the veranda, are 3 additional bedrooms, each with a separate entrance and an en-suite bathroom with shower. One of these rooms features joinable beds that can be configured as a double, while 2 of the rooms are connected by an internal door. The veranda also leads to a further section of the villa housing an outdoor gym on the ground floor, with an external staircase ascending to the first floor. On this level, a small loggia opens onto a double bedroom with a divisible bed, an en-suite bathroom with shower, and a kitchenette. The second building, located approximately 15 metres from the main villa on the left side of the swimming pool, is composed of a large professional kitchen.

Villa Ambra is equipped with a comprehensive range of amenities designed to ensure a comfortable and convenient stay. Air conditioning is available in all bedrooms, providing a cool and pleasant environment during the warmer months. For cooler periods, heating is also available at the property. The villa is fully equipped for domestic needs, with a washing machine for laundry and a dishwasher in the kitchen to simplify daily routines. The indoor kitchen and the additional kitchenette on the first floor of the main villa are well-appointed to meet the culinary needs of all guests. The property also benefits from high-speed Internet WiFi, ensuring guests remain connected throughout their stay. Utilities including electricity, water, and gas for cooking purposes are included in the rental rate. Weekly linen service as well as initial and final cleaning are also provided as part of the stay. The rental further includes the Zer0Dep Guarantee, meaning guests do not pay a security deposit either on balance or upon arrival, and benefit from EuropAssistance coverage in the event of accidental damage to the property during the stay, up to a maximum of 1,500 euros and subject to the limitations provided.

Other Information

Villa Ambra welcomes pets, subject to prior authorisation by the owner. Guests wishing to bring animals must communicate the number, size, and breed of their pets in advance so that the owner may grant approval. A mandatory extra cleaning fee applies in the case of animals staying at the property. The view over the gulf is magnificent, and the sunsets from this vantage point are particularly celebrated, as the sun sets later here than in the rest of Italy. The island of Asinara is clearly visible from the property and represents one of the most iconic natural landmarks of northern Sardinia. The town of Castelsardo, a historic and picturesque coastal village renowned for its medieval castle and traditional Sardinian craftsmanship, is within reach of the property and offers a variety of local restaurants, shops, and cultural attractions.
