A short distance away, and well worth a day trip, are the luxuriant woods of the Cimini Mountains and the lakes of Bracciano, Vico and Bolsena, characteristic landscapes with their small villages nestling on the hillsides. Numerous Etruscan tombs have also been found in the area, with significant archaeological finds preserved in the museums of Valle Giulia in Rome and Forte Sangallo in Civita Castellana.
