The garden surrounding the house is a succession of beautifully maintained grassy areas supported by shrubs of Mediterranean herbs, including lavender, rosemary, myrtle, and thyme, which adorn the wall-escarpment and fill the constant breeze with freshness and fragrance. Young olive trees, pomegranates, and cypress trees punctuate the large expanse of lawn, while winding paths lined with flowering tufts of gaura lead to the 2 ground floor entrances of the house. Two outdoor areas have been thoughtfully arranged beneath the porticos in front of the house: one dedicated to alfresco dining, positioned beside the dining room French window and equipped with a barbecue, and another designed for relaxation, furnished with a sofa and chairs. A short path climbs through the scenic lavender and rosemary-covered wall and over a small wooden ramp to reach the spectacular pool area, a natural terrace that stretches to the horizon and embraces the lands of the lower Val di Chiana. At its centre lies the stunning non-heated infinity pool, south-facing and equally enchanting by night, where a sophisticated interplay of internal and external lighting creates a magical atmosphere. The pool measures 6 x 13 metres with a constant depth of 1.40 metres, is bordered with ceramic tiles, lined in PVC, and features salt purification. Access to the water is via large steps. Elegant sunbeds and small tables are scattered throughout the surrounding area, which is further enhanced by a lovely wooden gazebo covered in climbing wisteria and roses. Rectangular in shape, it measures 12 x 6 meters with a maximum depth of 2.50 meters, and access to the water is via steps. The surrounding solarium is paved in travertine and furnished with sun loungers, tables, umbrellas, and an outdoor shower, creating a complete and comfortable poolside experience. The pool is open from the last Saturday in April to the first Saturday in October.

The Experience
The garden area is not fully fenced, anyway the pool area is divided from the rest of the garden by a hedge (height about 0.7 m) and a wire net. There is a small gate which can be locked, for the safeness of small children.
Important: The First floor is accessed only through the external staircase and it is not communicating internally with the ground floor.
One room with access through the garden with shower and changing room for guests who want to enjoy the pool without entering the house.

The Pieve di Sant'Ippolito is a small outbuilding in the heart of the Crete Senesi. You will find it on the outskirts of the village of Asciano, in a panoramic and sunny position. The property is composed of the manor house where the owners' family lives, an annexe and the very ancient Church of "Sant'Ippolito e Cassiano", whose origins date back to the 3rd-4th century AD. Inside the church you can admire a beautiful fresco painted by several renowned artists of the Umbrian school, such as Pinturicchio and Raphael, but erroneously attributed to the Sienese painter Giacomo Pacchiarotti a minor artist of the Sienese school. On 13 August, for the feast of Saints Ippolito and Cassiano, the church will be open to the public and a Holy Mass will be celebrated there. During the rest of the year, being part of private property, the owners allow it to be opened only on rare occasions, while guests of the house will be able to visit it freely.
You will reach the village of Asciano, with shops and services of all kinds, by a pleasant walk of just a few minutes.
All around the house you will find a large, fully fenced garden equipped with children's games, a table tennis table, barbecue and tables and chairs for your outdoor meals. The beautiful round swimming pool (dimensions 13 x 8 m, depth 1.20 - 2.10 m) with water geyser, infinity edge with waterfall and 3-seater whirlpool bath will be at your disposal during the whole year. Near the pool there are two gazebos furnished with relaxing armchairs, table, deckchairs and sun loungers for your days of rest in the company of your favourite book. Some outdoor spaces and the swimming pool are in common use with the owners.
At Sant'Ippolito you will find well-kept furnishings and the many facilities inside the house (air conditioning, satellite TV, barbecue, microwave, washing machine, dishwasher, iron, mosquito nets, alarm system and Wi-Fi connection) will guarantee a comfortable and relaxing holiday.

Please note that the photographs of the garden were taken in spring, and therefore the flowering and grass colours may differ from what you observe upon arrival. The crown jewel of the outdoor space is the pool area, reached from the house via a short, level path of approximately 15 metres. The expansive sunbathing terrace, paved in travertine, is generously equipped with sunbeds, deckchairs, and tables, and at its centre lies a striking free-form swimming pool spanning 110 square metres, with a varying depth of 70 to 150 cm. The pool is lined in PVC, features Roman steps, and is maintained with chlorine purification. The pool is open from the last Saturday in April to the first Saturday in October. Completing this exceptional area are 2 hydromassage pools: one with a rounded shape that is heated, and one with a square shape measuring 4 x 4 metres, which can be heated on request. Both offer a breathtaking vantage point from which to admire the sweeping landscapes of the Crete Senesi that surround the property.
