Rome city has had quite an exciting documented history that spans well over 2,500 years. It’s believed to have been founded in 753BC and is often referred to as ‘The Eternal City’. It is in Rome ancient centre, where Vatican City is now, where the foundation of the Roman Catholic religion took root and grew into the headquarters is today.
It’s also been one of the central birthplaces of western civilisation, much of which was borne during the dominant reign of the Roman Empire across Europe.
