Property Description

Villa Cantagallo has the old-world charm of an ancient manor house. The spacious rooms, fireplaces, arches and exposed stonework combine well with the rustic furnishings chosen by the owners, and will take you back in time when these huge dwellings were the hub of farmhouses.
You will find Villa Cantagallo a short distance from the charming Etruscan town of Cortona (8 km), a destination of great artistic, historical and architectural interest that is definitely worth a visit. You will leave your heart in Cortona, in its paved alleys that climb up the hill, you will immerse yourself in an almost magical atmosphere, as if suspended in time.
Don't forget to dine in one of the countless restaurants and trattorias in the historic centre; our advice is definitely local red wine and a nice Tagliata of Chianina beef!
Until a few years ago the house was the heart of a large farm, then a recent and careful renovation, which the owners carried out with love and care to keep the old features of the villa unaltered, transformed it into a cosy holiday home.
Still next to the house you will find the wine cellar where the owner produces excellent wine (Vino DOC Cortona), which you can taste for free during your holiday.
All around the house you will have at your disposal a large green area equipped with gazebo, table and chairs for your outdoor dinners in company, barbecue, games for children and shaded parking spaces. At the back of the house is the large swimming pool (size 6x12 m, depth 1.20-1.40 m - open from 01st May to 30th September) for your exclusive use. The pool has a wide, completely fenced area that is also suitable to stay in safe company of your pet-friends.

GROUND FLOOR: Kitchen with fireplace, large living/dining room with fireplace, armchairs and sofas, looking onto the swimming pool, double bedroom with an extra single bed, bathroom with shower.
FIRST FLOOR: with access via an internal staircase, there are four double bedrooms and two bathrooms with shower. It is possible to add another single bed to one of the bedrooms.

The initial deposit required to confirm a reservation to be paid at the time of booking (unless there are special conditions in place) is 25% of the total rent amount.

The balance is due 45 days before arrival.

For last-minute bookings (within 45 days of arrival) the full amount must be paid at the time of the booking.

In case of cancellation of the booking, even if it is substituted by another one, the following penalties apply:
- the initial deposit (25% of total rent) if the cancellation is made between booking time up to 46 days before arrival date;
- 100% of total rental price if the cancellation is made from 45 days to arrival date or in case of no show.

Mit einer Großfamilie 6 Erwachsene 3 Kleinkinder und Hund haben wir 10 wundervolle Tage in der Villa Cantagallo verbracht. Viel Platz für alle, geräumige klimatisierte Zimmer mit Kleiderschrank und Kommode, aureichend bestückte Küche ( große Wokpfanne und gute Messer bringen wir immer mit). Wunderschöner gepflegter Außenbereich mit viel Sitz-und Ablagemöglichkeiten. Tiziano war sehr freundlich und der wunderschöne riesige Pool gut gepflegt. Gutes Preis- Leistungsverhältnis.

Die Villa Cantagallo war ein idealer Ausgangspunkt und eine tolle Unterkunft für sieben Erwachsene mit Motorrädern. Die Begrüßung und Einweisung durch Tiziano war hervorragend und äußerst herzlich. Auch den Rest der Familie lernten wir kennen, z.B. beim Pasta Cooking und Wine Tasting. Es hat nichts gefehlt. Was gefehlt hat, wurde schnell besorgt. Z.B. große Badetücher oder Wein-Nachschub von selbst produzierten Weinen. Ein überdachter Außenplatz mit Grill und überdachte Stellplätze für die Fahrzeuge machten das Ambiente perfekt für uns.

Wir (2 Familien mit insgesamt 7 großen Kindern) hatten 2 wundervolle Wochen. Tiziano und seine Familie waren sehr nett und immer zur Stelle, wenn wir etwas gebraucht haben.
Leider gab es sehr viele Moskitos, aber zum Glück hat das Hsus an den Fenstern Fliegengitter.
Wir sind gut erholt und kommen gerne wieder!

Unfortunately there were a lot of mosquitoes, but luckily the House has fly screens on the windows.

The villa was just perfect for our group of 12 including 4 kids. The grounds and surrounding was just beautiful from enjoying barbeque outdoors to splashing in the pool and having walks amidst the sunflower fields. The owners were helpful and kind and we couldn't have asked for a better accommodation for this holiday.

heel fijn en groot huis, prima onderhouden zwembad, zeer grote tuin, en vooral zeer lieve eigenaars !! die altijd klaar stonden om te helpen, tips en advies te geven over de streek, en dagelijks het zwembad proper maakten....
