3. Podere Il Doccio

Podere Il Doccio is a beautiful property that is comprised of four private units. Located in the Arno Valley, 9 km from Terranuova Bracciolini, it is a lovely and peaceful place. Arezzo, Greve In Chianti, Florence, Siena and Montepulciano are all close enough for day trips but the property itself is so quiet and pleasant that you might never want to leave.

Città di Castello is an ancient town in the Tiber Valley that is still largely surrounded by town walls dating back to the 16th century. It has a long history of being attacked, destroyed, rebuilt and being passed from ruler to to ruler.

Yet, despite this, it is still a historic and pretty town where many stunning buildings have been preserved such as the Palace of the Podestà, with its baroque facade dating back to 1686; the Town Hall, built in the Gothic style with an elegant portal and windows with two lights; the Gothic Cathedral, built on the site of a Roman temple; and St. Mary Maggiore, dating back to the Gothic era but adorned by a Renaissance facade.

The Municipal Pinacoteque, meanwhile, is home to works of art by Raphael, Signorelli and Domenico Ghirlandaio, as well as many other works by artists of the Umbrian, Tuscan and Marche schools.

Come and visit the charming towns and villages scattered across the Alto Metauro area of Le Marche region and envelop yourself with the interesting history, art and customs of the district. Borgo Pace is a beautiful town situated in the mountains where the River Meta and the River Argo join forces to become the giant Metauro River. If you enjoy going on adventurous breaks then perhaps an exciting stay in the Alto Metauro in the Marche region would satisfy your hunger for adrenaline fuelled sports; it’s a beautiful place to relax in after the day’s activities! There are many beautiful vacation rentals in Morro D'Alba, only a few kilometres away from the area of Alto Metauro for visitors to base their stay at.

Enjoy a horse riding lesson in an equestrian centre near the town of Mercatello Sul Metauro and then set out on a magnificent day trip, trekking through the beautiful hills and valleys. Enjoy trotting along some well worn paths beside the gushing waters of the River Metauro and experience the sheer beauty of this region in the most magical way!

Or why not rent some mountain bikes and travel all across this scenic district? Relax and enjoy a picnic lunch at natural reserves like Gola del Furlo, Alpe delle Luna and Ranco Spinoso.

An area called Alto Metauro in the region of Le Marche is especially famous for its food and wine products. Enjoy tasting the local organic ‘Millefiori’ or ‘Spring flowers’ honey and feel the oily texture of the a resin taken from bee hives called propolis. Many restaurants and bars in the area can serve you a type of local mead, a sweet honey liquor that will delight your taste buds!

The cheeses you can taste here are among the finest in Italy! Some of the local favourites are a pecorino cheese stuffed with red peppers in oil, fresh soft white cheese and ricotta. The visitor is sure to enjoy a feast of these along with some spicy local salamis and sausages made with pork and roe deer meat.

The communication between the renter and the owner is just non exist. I asked several times about WI-FI which is a must for me - the agency promised me 3 times that there is a WI-FI, well there was not.
The agency promised a well equipped kitchen but there was no cattle, no micro, no coffe machine. I was single. the owner wait for a whole family. I have write a mail to the owner before my visit and got no answer - he does not know one word in english. the appartment is a condominion made of materials that one is hearing everything that goes on in any other apartment in volumes that made me crasy.

[counter comment from the owner, English translation courtesy of Easy Reserve] Avevamo venduto l'appartamento senza collegamento WIFI ma con pennetta internet; la cliente assai pretenziosa attempata e poco disponibile, forse per scarse conoscenze di software non sapeva utilizzarla anche dopo ampie spiegazioni, che se ne dica aveva a sua disposizione una hostess che costantemente in inglese forniva chiarimenti .
L'appartamento finemente rifinito è munito d ogni confort, certamente non potevamo riempire il frigorifero in quanto la ristorazione non è nella ns. offerta e inoltre la caffettiera c'è bisogna solo saperla usare.

The apartment has no WIFI but an internet USB key (as we write on the website) but this guest was very pretentious and unhelpful and perhaps due to the lack of knowledge of software, she could not use it even after extensive explanations, even though she had at his disposal a hostess who constantly (in English) provided clarification.
The finely finished apartment is equipped with every comfort. We certainly could not fill the refrigerator because the restaurant is not in our offer. There is a coffee maker, you just have to know how to use it.
