Borgo Pace is a beautiful town situated in the mountains where the River Meta and the River Argo join forces to become the giant Metauro River. It’s situated less than ten minutes from the towns of Lamoli and Parchiule that are eagerly explored by tourists for the Benedictine abbey that still stands in Lamoli and the various other visitor attractions in Parchiule.

There is a famous portrait of Saint Francis in the Collegiata church here and the town is also home to the first Franciscan church built outside of Assisi. A famous painting called ‘Madonna delle Grazie’ has its home here in the museum of Collegiata. The Santa Veronica sanctuary, situated in the supposed birth house of the saint is now a monastery lived in by Cappuccine nuns.

In July every year, any visitor on holidays here should immerse themselves into the local celebrations of the traditional donkey Palio and the tasty Tagliatelle Festival in the town of Mercatello!
