If you enjoy going on adventurous breaks then perhaps an exciting stay in the Alto Metauro in the Marche region would satisfy your hunger for adrenaline fuelled sports; it’s a beautiful place to relax in after the day’s activities! If your holiday here falls in the first week of July then perhaps you can enjoy watching the famous Rally di San Marino which hosts a few stages in this area. Listen to the powerful car engines roar as they speed along narrow country roads!

If you enjoy a climbing challenge then gather all your equipment and head for the Gola del Furlo, Pennabilli or Fosso dell'Eremo and reach for the heavens! Of course, fishing is a very popular pastime in this area and the visitor can rent everything the need to fish along the Metauro River all year long. There are even some spots that are ideal for fly fishing! There are also some plentiful lakes like Lago di Ca’, Lago del Sole and Lago Aiolina where you can enjoy a lazy afternoon dropping a few lines and admiring the views!

Or why not book in for an interesting wild animal sightseeing expedition where you are sure to see some wild boars, birds of prey, foxes and even wolves! Reserves and observatories are plentiful in this region and can be used both day and night.

Dive into all the action with a refreshing swim in the crystal clear Metauro River. There are four main natural pools along it called ‘San Leo, I Morti, La Poderina and la Madonnuccia that each have their own appealing characteristics. One has a small waterfall you can stand under and feel revitalised by and another is deep enough to dive into!

After all of this action, perhaps a few days in a spa overlooking the Alpe della Luna would be an ideal way to relax and unwind. Enjoy a peaceful environment of soft music, candles and incense as you relax in a Jacuzzi or visit several types of sauna here.
