In the southern part of Italy, lies the mostly densely populated region, Campania! The towns and villages of this scenic part of the country were greatly influenced by the Greeks which can be seen from the many buildings and monuments they left behind.

Literally translated as ‘fertile countryside’, Campania is indeed a land full of thriving vegetation and growth as well as being a haven for rich historical, cultural and artistic pursuits.

Campania is bordered by Latium, Molise, Puglia and Basilicata and is made up of five provinces called Caserta, Naples, Benevento, Avellino and Salerno.

The capital city is Naples where the famous Italian pizza was born. Pizza is eaten more like a sandwich here, folded over. It was one of the main dishes to bring juicy tomatoes to the forefront of Italian cuisine. Visitors have a fine selection of beautiful luxury vacation rentals in Campania to choose from where they can base their stay.
