The Amalfi Coast And Its Inspiring Views

Salerno Panorama
The glorious Amalfi Coast is on the southern side of Italy along the coast of the Sorrentine Peninsula in the province of Salerno. Being in southern Italy, the Amalfi coast has a wonderfully warm climate.

The Amalfi Coast also has some beautiful little towns including Furore, Atrani and Albori which are soaked in culture and history. Each one of these little Villages is famous for one or more aspects. Why not seize the opportunity to come here and fully enjoy all that these little places have to offer? Rent a villa on the Amalfi Coast and you will not miss anything in this wonderful area.
View of Furore
Furore has lots of history dating back to the Roman Age and also one of the most attractive features of this town is the Open Air Museum, which consists of many beautiful paintings decorating the outside walls of the buildings. All of these paintings in some way relate to the history and legends that are associated with the beautiful little town.

Meanwhile, the town of Atrani has its own individual claim to fame as it has been depicted in artwork such as  Metamorphosis I, II and III by the Dutch artist M.C. Escher.

Escher is best known for his woodcuts, lithographs and mezzotints. He lived in Italy for a large portion of his life, even settling down in Italy when he first married. He loved the Italian scenery, especially Atrani and so this is why it appears in many of his different works. Aside from Escher, the town also has much to do with the Church, and the ruins of the Benedictine Monastery of Saints Quirico and Judith can be seen there still.
Cliff View
Another village that dates back to the 9th Century is Albori. This is built in the style of an uphill village, like the ancient Arabic defensive tradition.

It is linked to other villages under the banner of "Most Beautiful Villages in Italy" and as well as the pretty little church of St. Margaret of Antioch, it has a wonderful reputation for local food.
Some properties along the Amalfi coast include the wonderful Villa Civita with beautiful coastal view.
