In the southwest of Italy in the region of Campania, is the coastal city of Salerno. This picturesque urban area is located on the gulf of Salerno facing the Tyrrhenian Sea along the Amalfi coast.

Tourists will love the buzz of this culturally rich city that proudly displays its exciting history in churches and museums. There are lots of lovely holiday villas close to Salerno to choose from.

In the old city quarters lies the grand cathedral and a lovely array of palaces, churches, museums and city castles.

Nature Lovers will enjoy a walk around the nearby UNESCO World Heritage Site of Vallo di Diano National Park which is the second largest in Italy. It’s a stunning landscape, home to lots of wildlife and breath taking scenery so be sure to bring your camera!
