There’s still time to book a summer 2024 vacation in Italy! With a few weeks still left in the summer, we have a range of incredible holiday rentals in Italy with last-minute availability to choose from. Beat the August heat at one of our villas with pools in Italy for a perfect end to the summer!
With villas in Tuscany, vacation rentals in Apulia, holiday rentals in Umbria, and more to choose from, there is something for everyone among these last-minute villas in Italy but don’t wait around as now is your last chance to book a perfect getaway this summer.

Or, maybe you are thinking a little outside the box and you want to make the most of our excellent availability for September? With pleasant weather continuing well into the month, fewer tourist crowds around at attractions and destinations, plenty of villas still available as less people tend to travel at this time of the year, often lower rates, and many other things to recommend it, we think September basically is summer – at least when it comes to dream holidays in Italy.
If you can travel at this time of the year, we highly endorse it! While it won’t be an option for everyone with certain work or school commitments and while you may have a slightly higher risk of potential rain to deal with, a September break in Italy is ideal for those who are free to travel and who really want to get out and explore.

The milder temperatures on offer as things begin to cool down after August mean that it is a brilliant time to go hiking in some of the most beautiful and popular scenic areas of the country from the Alps to Elba’s world-class trails to the stunning coastal paths of the Cinque Terre (especially as the romantic Path of Love has just fully reopened for the first time in over a decade). It is also an ideal time to see the great cultural capitals of Italy from Rome to Florence to Milan as the milder weather makes darting from attraction to attraction a much more pleasant experience, especially if you are someone who wants to fit as much into your trip as is humanly possible. Venice, too, is more enjoyable when the temperatures are lower as it is built on a lagoon – not always the most ideal place to be during the hottest days of the summer.

Of course, once you get into September, we’re starting to enter harvest season. So, for wine-lovers and foodies, this is an excellent time to plan a holiday in Italy! From days enjoying seriously good (and cheap) local eats at food festivals to tastings at stunning wineries from Tuscany to Apulia, this is a perfect time to eat especially well while on vacation in Italy.
Furthermore, at this time of the year, you will also still have plenty of days that are warm enough to hang out by the pool or at the beach, especially earlier in the month and if you are enjoying a vacation further south with a villa in Apulia, a vacation rental in Campania, or a holiday rental in Sicily.

So, book your last-minute villa in Italy for the end of the summer or make the most of the charms of September with a rental at this time of the year. It’s not too late to get away to Italy in 2024 and, while summer is coming to an end, it is also not too late to have a perfect summer break. Need help finding the perfect rental?
