This week we've been talking all things Ponza, the island near Rome that the Romans have been keeping to themselves. Not a real hidden gem but, rather, a well-known local favourite, it is a stunning place and a perfect holiday destination. While there aren't many traditional tourist attractions nor a party scene like that over other European island destinations such as Ibiza or Mykonos, there is a simple, unpretentious and relaxed atmosphere that makes it the ideal place to unwind. Come explore her lovely beaches, stroll the beautiful natural surroundings, admire the picturesque town and enjoy the good life by spending your time dining and drinking.

Just find a vacation rental in Latium and then spend even a day on the island. While you're there, here are more of the restaurants that you should check out.
3. Il Tramonto

Il Tramonto is famous for its incredible views over Ponza and the bay. The windows offer a great vista but the flat and accessible roof offers a full panoramic view across the island. At sunset, it is especially beautiful so try and time your dinner to take it all in as you dine on their delicious food and try their excellent wines.
