Ponza, one of the Pontine Islands, not too far off the coast of Latium in Italy, is a beautiful place where the natural surrounds are stunning and the lifestyle simple and unpretentious. This Michelin star seafood restaurant is one of the most highly regarded on Ponza and is located in the harbour, with incredible views over the water and back over the town. While it isn't the cheapest place to eat on the island, it serves a delicious contemporary take on classic Mediterranean cuisine and offers a rather interesting wine list.

Another gourmet option located in the port area with terrace dining is EEA. Situated up a flight of stairs, with indoor seating and a terrace that has sea views, it is an elegant and romantic little spot with white tablecloths, nice tableware, twinkling candlelight and impeccable service.
