The place was fantastic & the owners very, very nice. Highly recommend this for a central location. Be aware that a car rental is an absolute in order to get around since this is in a remote location but well worth the peace & quiet.

Loved the compound like feel of this property - very private and serene.
Needs a little more TLC in the maintenance department, but overall a good find.Would you recommend this property to a friend? Yes

The villa and the garden is realy clean and nice decorated. The kitchen is equiped with dishwasher, freezer and gas stove. There are a nice village nearby (about 6km) with a grocery, a butcher, a typical italian bar and lovely restaurants with delicous, tuscany dishes. Also you can find, just 3 minutes by car, a big supermarket.

The property is classic Tuscan with the most amazing view from the garden of San Gimignano just across the valley. We fell in love with "St Jimi" very quickly and you must visit for a meal or wander in the evening when you can imagine it in it's medievil times so much more.
A lovely home with 2 very friendly dogs (Mafi and Olivia) who will love to play with you or sit by you whilst you enjoy the garden or living room! The bathroom is very small, so claustofobes be aware, but modern and sylish. We slept the best ever and I think the clear air, hills and local Chianti for Euro5 a bottle really helped too! Everything you need is here and it felt really like home for a week. Local supermarkets were full of tuscan goodies, it's really hard to not try everything - so pack loose clothes!
Great location, with windy roads to many other lovely places to visit - I would seriously recommend a car to enjoy this area. We visited Sienna (Very hilly but look for the motifs of various "contrada" like road signs on the corners, plus fountains for each too - everything from tortoises to rhinos!, Volterra - very high in the hills with amazing views, Certaldo (small but very old) where we then caught the train to Firenze (Florence, very full of tourists and you'd really have to queue to see any museums). And of course we visited a local vineyard and have many bottles on their way to us now - wish we could have stayed longer.
Would seriously return - with is my best recommendation.

We had bad luck with the weather but the villa was absolutely awesome. Just perfect place for people loving nature and beautiful Tuscan landscape. Our kids enjoyed the pool area and big yard. The owner was very helpful and friendly.

Borgo Tollena was all that we had researched ahead of time and then some!! This place is absolutely beautiful and so close to everything. The views of Tuscany are picture perfect. I just cannot say enough about how wonderful everything was. Perfect locations for taking in so much throughout the area! We did not use the pool as it was chilly but it was beautiful just the same! Everything is so close, we had a great time! There is just so much! San Gimignano of course, Volterra is a beautiful village to visit and have dinner. We went to Pisa and Siena as well as Florence. All were so easy to get to.

This is an ideal option for a small stand alone self contained villa.
Very peaceful quiet location surrounded by farmers - vineyards and olive groves. Great spot handy to San Gimignano
There is really no separate lounge - it is s small cramped low ceiling area that did not get used so we lived in the kitchen, dining area or outside.Would you recommend this property to a friend? Yes

The apartment was better than expected based on website information. We were treated very well by the owners and appreciated their service and interest in us.
Driving to this property is very challenging as it is in a 'no car' zone. The directions I received on the booking form were inadequate and some of the information no longer applies. Please revise this part of the info package.

Perfectly positioned for San Gimignano and with wonderful views of the surronding countryside, Borgo Tollena is also an ideal get away from it all holiday. Barbara is extremeley helpful and the apartment was ideal for us.
