If you decide to spend your holiday at Villa Leopoldina, you can stay in a historic building, a splendid example of a typical Tuscan house designed in the 18th century by the architects of Grand Duke Leopold of Lorraine, with the characteristic four overlapping arches on the façade. It will be a plunge into the past, when families were very numerous and these huge homes housed several generations under the same roof.
In front of the villa you will find the private garden and on the right-hand side the beautiful swimming pool (size 12x5 m, depth 1.40 m, completely enclosed - open from 01st May to 30th September). La Maccinaia 14 is located 980 m (3168 ft) from San Vincenti, Italy and only 38 km (24 mi) from Siena in the tourist area "Siena And Surroundings". La Maccinaia 14 is a lovely stone building (650 sq m) with air conditioning, private pool and WiFi internet. The property can accommodate up to 16 guests comfortably in seven bedrooms with seven bathrooms.
What to Expect
The property is equipped with the highest standard of modern comforts, including air-conditioning on the ground floor & second floor, wi-fi technology, a large flat screen television with satellite tv, and an especially well equipped kitchen.
Just across from the main villa there is a guest house built of stone that can sleep up to 6 people. This part of the property is of more recent construction, but maintains the same high level of the main villa.
The English speaking caretaker lives on the premises in an apartment with a separate entrance.
When you arrive you will be greeted by the owner or manager where you’ll find a nice clean well-maintained property with views of the hills perfect for a peaceful holiday in Tuscany. Regardless of how you spend your days - sightseeing, shopping, visiting museums or just driving in the countryside, when you arrive home you can relax with your family and friends at the pool for a perfect ending to another day in Tuscany. Description
This really charming and elegant villa with private swimming pool is located in a very quiet and spectacular position, just a few kilometers away from the lovely village of Montalcino, the well known area for the famous worldwide red wine: Brunello di Montalcino. Just a five minutes drive away there is the famous Castello di Banfi where guests can visit the cellars and the hamlet while enjoying the great red wine, have lunch or dinner in one of their excellent restaurants.
The views from the house are outstanding taking in the Val d’Orcia and Crete Senesi, considered by many as the most beautiful areas of Tuscany. The owner a renowned Italian Architect and Interior Designer restored the villa in total respect to the Tuscan tradition and furnished it with an impressive combination of furniture personally designed and some antiques ones. The property comprises the main Tuscan stone-built farmhouse and a bedroom with en-suite bathroom in the guesthouse. Other bedrooms with en-suite bathroom can be rented at extra cost sleeping up to 18 people. Lavacchio has been restored and furnished to high standard all the first floor bedrooms have air-conditioning and two other portable units are available on request.
