Many a style-lover will already have a trip to Milan on their bucket list, especially after being yet again displayed so beautifully in The Devil Wears Prada II this spring. However, there is another great reason to book a vacation rental in Milan before December 20th 2026 and that is to see one of the largest and most impressive fashion exhibitions in the world right now.

Armani's stunning event space in the city, the Armani Silos, is currently playing host to a major exhibition of the fashion house's Haute Couture collections over the past 20 years. A true must-see, this is the most unmissable fashion exhibition in the globe right now!

Opened in May of 2025, Giorgio Armani Privé 2005–2025: Twenty Years of Haute Couture celebrates the 20th anniversary of the unveiling of the brand's very first Haute Couture collection in Paris in 2005 and was curated by none other than the late Mr Giorgio Armani himself before his passing in September 2025. Originally intended to run until December 2025, the exhibition was then extended until December 2026.

An extraordinary opportunity to take in the brand's entire haute couture history under one rather spectacular roof, the exhibition presents a carefully considered overview through 150 breath-taking gowns displayed across all four storeys of the building.

Of the motivation behind this showcase and what he hoped it might achieve, Mr Armani had this to say: “In my Haute Couture collections, I express my vision of style and elegance through the sartorial art and savoir-faire: only here am I free to do so without limits. Twenty years of Giorgio Armani Privé have been an extraordinary, liberating journey. Now, I want to share it with a wider audience, inviting them into this dream of mine, a dream of dresses woven from imagination and grace. A very special world that takes on new meaning in this exhibition.”

Dreamy is certainly a great word to describe the incredible experience of this exhibition. Beautiful gowns in silks and chiffons, sequins and flounces, are displayed under spotlights, against simple backdrops of colour, emerging from the dark like wonderful fantasies.

Plus, in addition to the main collections, the exhibition gives guests a chance to see the custom gowns made for some of Armani's famous admirers and house ambassadors throughout the years, allowing you to see famous red carpet moments right before your eyes.

While you walk around the space, you will get to engage with the full Armani fantasy and experience by also enjoying the diffused scent of Bois d’Encens, a signature fragrance from the ARMANI/PRIVE Haute Couture Fragrances Collection, and listening to an original soundtrack composed specifically for the event by L’Antidote (Bijan Chemirani, Rami Khalifé, Redi Hasa) and produced by Alberto Fabris and mixed by Valerio Daniele for Ponderosa Music Records.

For lovers of the brand, this exhibition also presents an opportunity to bid farewell to the iconic designer and honour the work of his lifetime.

So, whether you are an Armani girlie, in particular, or you simply love fashion and fashion history, this fascinating showcase is a must-see if you're booking a holiday rental in Milan before December 20th and motivation to get to Milan ASAP if you haven't considered booking your trip yet!
