Description
Villa Cerretalta is in a wonderful position on a small hill surrounded by Brunello vineyards, within the national park of Val D'Orcia. The 7 bedroom, 6 bath property is set between the cities of Montalcino and San Quirico D'Orcia (both are about 10 km away), yet in few minutes you can reach the little town of Torrenieri (5 km) where you can find the nearest shops, supermarket and restaurants.
The owner occasionally uses the independent building nearby and whilst respecting your privacy will be at your disposal if you should need any help.
Cerretalta is completely surrounded by hedges and fences to guarantee total privacy. Nonetheless, you have a wonderful sight over the countryside.
Once you enter the gateway, there is a large courtyard plenty of tables and chairs at guests’ disposal as well as the brick barbeque. Across the court there is a lovely area with a big round stone table and matching benches sheltered from the sun by a pergola. Here there is also a second way out from the property, down a stone staircase and through a small iron gate.
There are two garden areas.
The first one is bordered by mature trees, should the guests enjoy a peaceful shady lawn, and it is situated next to a white travertine floored space with tables, chairs and parasol. This is the perfect location where you can have your meals, while taking in the beautiful view over the surrounding farmland.
From here, few stone steps lead to the second garden that is located near the poolside. A small gate possibly delimits the way so as to prevent little children from reaching the swimming-pool area without permission. Some fruit trees, flowers and shrubs brighten the place and there is also a gazebo with table and chairs. An extensive hedge marks the limits of the patch.

A seating area is positioned just outside the main kitchen, while a dedicated dining area is situated in front of the annex kitchen, only a few steps from the swimming pool. The entire property is enclosed with low walls and wire mesh, ensuring privacy and security for all guests.
The non-heated swimming pool is one of the true highlights of Fonte Pinella. Positioned on one side of the garden and overlooking an open panoramic landscape, it is located approximately 30 m from the main house and 10 m from the annex, reached along a short flight of steps. The pool measures 6 x 12 m, with a depth ranging from 1.30 to 2.50 m, and features Roman steps and a diving board. Lined in PVC with a stone edge, it is equipped with internal lighting and a chlorine purification system. The large terracotta-paved solarium surrounding the pool is furnished with sunbeds, tables, umbrellas, and a hot and cold-water shower. The pool is open from the last Saturday in April until the first Saturday in October. Please be aware that photographs of the property were taken in spring, and therefore the blossoming of flowers and the colours of the garden grass may differ from what you observe upon arrival.

Fonte Pinella is configured across 2 floors connected by both external and internal staircases, and is complemented by a separate annex, offering a total accommodation capacity of 8 guests across 4 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms. On the ground floor, the large living room serves as the heart of the main house, featuring a TV area, a sitting area with a fireplace, and a dining area. Numerous French windows open directly onto the exterior, flooding the space with natural light and providing seamless access to the garden. Casa Paggetti is an ancient stone farmhouse located in the village of Pescina, in the Chianti hills, with panoramic views of vineyards, olive groves and woods. Dating back to the 17th century, the house belonged to the Paggetti family, whose coat of arms is still visible on the facade. Restored to respect its historic character, the villa is spread over three floors and retains original elements such as terracotta floors, vaulted ceilings, exposed beams and period furniture, with parquet in the bedrooms. The garden, shaded by tall cypress trees, is arranged on terraces and lawns furnished with outdoor dining areas and lounges, as well as an outdoor kitchen with barbecue and wood oven. A swimming pool and a heated hot tub complete the picture. In a hilly position, the villa is ideal for exploring Greve in Chianti, Florence and the entire Chianti Classico area.

The villa is spread over three levels for a total of about 550 square meters. The villa is surrounded by a fenced terraced garden of about 3000 square meters, bordered by stone walls and high hedges. The garden is spread over three levels. The stone-paved upper level includes a shaded dining area with table and umbrella, a seating area covered by a shade sail, a built-in barbecue and a wood-burning oven. Flowerpots, vines and cypresses complete the green setting around the house. A stone staircase leads to the second level, with a tiled area where there is a relaxation area, the entrance to the basement and access to the covered garage. On this level there is also the driveway gate, accessible from a small road that runs along the property and leads to the internal car park. The surrounding lawn houses the pool with solarium. Finally, a second staircase leads to the lower level, planted with olive trees and a cherry and fig orchard, bordered by a stone border. N.B.: Please note that the photo shoots are usually carried out in spring, so the colors and blooms of the gardens, lawns and parks may be different when you enter the villa.
Pool:
The pool is located a few meters from the house, on the second level of the garden; it is accessed via a stone staircase or along a path in the lawn. Irregularly shaped, it measures about 12 x 10 m with a depth varying from 1.20 to 1.80 m; it is covered in PVC and bordered with terracotta finishes; access to the water is via a Roman staircase. The pool is equipped with internal lighting and a chlorine purification system. The surrounding solarium area is partly paved with stone and partly with lawn; it is furnished with sun loungers, umbrellas, tables and a lounge area. In this same area there is also an outdoor shower and a 2 x 2.20 m heated hot tub, with three seats. The pool is open from the last Saturday in April to the first Saturday in October.
