Property Description
Beautiful stone restored farmhouse with private pool situated in the heart of the Chianti Classicio region. This villa provides a nice furnished pergola with barbecue ideal for al-fresco dining. The pool is above ground and is approx. 20 m from the house away. The house offers welcoming interiors and is tastefully furnished in a rustic style. All around the property there are beautiful olive groves and vineyards and most of the charming Chianti villages (Greve in Chianti, Gaiole, Castellina in Chianti, Panzano etc.. are within 30 minutes.
The access to the property is via an unpaved but well-maintained road.
Distances: Mercatale with general stores 5 km away, Panzano 8 km, Greve in Chianti 8 km, Florence (airport) 30 km, San Gimignano 36 km away, Siena 51 km away, Pisa (airport) 87 km.
At guests’ disposal: large garden with above-ground swimming-pool (5 x 10 m – depth 1,4 m - open from 15/04 to 30/10) for the sole use of the guests, charming pergola providing tables, chairs and barbecue.

Mooi groot huis, lag helaas iets te ver weg van supermarkt, 1 toilet was verstopt, afwas kwam niet schoon uit afwasmachine, het huis was niet helemaal schoon toen we het aantroffen, om dan nog €130 te moeten betalen voor de eindschoonmaak is dan niet netjes.

We had a very nice time in Alice. We stayed there for a week with 6 adults and 3 children. It is a nice, large, house, with a very pleasant,large garden and a nice swimmingpool. It's is very central in Toscany, which makes it easy to visit Florence, Siena, San Gimignano and Pisa.

Wir waren vom 13.10 bis 20.10 mit 9 Personen im Haus Alice. Uns hat es dort sehr gut gefallen. Das Haus ist 2010 liebevoll renoviert. In der Küche gibt es ein offenen Kamin den wir auch zum Grillen nutzen konnten. Das Wetter war sehr gut und den großzügigen Pool konnten wir noch nutzen.Ankunftszeit hatten wir 16:30-17:30 Uhr ausgemacht und dachten das der Vermieter an Ort und stelle ist. Dies war nicht der Fall. Wir mussten ein paar telefonate führen. Das verwirrende an der Sache: Auf der Buchung standen fünf verschiedene Nummern. Nach einer halben Stund hatten wir es geschaft. Alice brachte uns den Schlüssel. Das war das einzigste was nicht so gut lief. alles ander hat super gepasst und die Toskana ist sehr schöne, super Landschaft, schöne Städte und gutes Essen. Viel Spaß im Hause Alice. Wir würden wieder hinfahren.

In the kitchen there is a fireplace that we could also use for barbecuing. The weather was very good and we could even use the large pool still. We had agreed a check-in between 16:30 and 17:30 and thought that the owner were on the spot. This was not the case. We had to make a few phone calls. The confusing thing about it was that on the rental voucher were five different numbers. After half an hour we managed to enter the property. Alice gave us the key. That was the only thing which went not well. Everything else was perfect: Tuscany is very nice, great scenery, beautiful towns and great food. Have fun in the house Alice. Very well equipped villa. Quiet location for privacy but convenient for day trips. We visited Rome (long day!), Florence, Sienna on one day trips. Lots of room for our party of 10 people. Villa and grounds were well-cared for and the owner was very helpful. All in all, great experience and we would stay again. The only suggestion we have is better directions. The villa is very tough to find with a small sign. A GPS address or co-ordinate would be very helpful. Thankfully the owner was able to meet us to guide owner.
