Poggiobello is a masterpiece of traditional rural architecture. A former outbuilding of an old Tuscan villa dating back to the 18th century, it is the ideal place for everyone who loves the countryside and the simplicity of life in the country. Here you will find yourself totally immersed in an enchanted atmosphere frozen in time.
This recently renovated charming little holiday house, in the grounds of the old villa, offers high quality accommodations with 2 bedrooms and 2 baths.
The splendid villa is extremely welcoming, and tastefully furnished in the typical Tuscan style.
Attention has been paid to the smallest detail in order to ensure a comfortable and enjoyable stay for the guests.
Distances: The nearest restaurant, which can be reached on foot too, is 1.5 km far;
The nearest village offering any service is Foiano della Chiana (5 km);
On a distant hill lies the ancient Etruscan town of Cortona (15 km far away), just a 10 minute drive away.
At guests' disposal:
Internet wi-fi available free of charge.
Baby bed available free of charge.
The pool 12x6 depth 1.00/2.00 mts is shared with the owners, who live in the main villa. While respecting the privacy of the guests, the owners will always be pleased to give tips about excursions and local activities and events.
The lady of the house, an excellent cook, will prepare a typically Tuscan on request.
The cottage is immersed in the splendid countryside with breathtaking views all around. It is surrounded by the lovely undulating hills covered with sunflowers, olive groves and cypresses.

Interior Description

Accommodation: 90m² - Sleeps 4+2
All ground floor: Sitting / dining room with open fireplace with a dining table, single sofa bed, satellite TV, telephone line for internet access, stereo cd. Two steps up to the kitchen. The kitchen is provided with: dishwasher, pizza oven, American and Italian coffee makers, toaster, microwave, fridge and washing machine, vacuum cleaner, gas cooker and an oven
1 double bedroom with en-suite bathroom with shower and access to the garden, one double bedroom + single sofa bed, with view of the countryside (can be made into two singles on request), bathroom with shower, 1 hairdryer available.
Covered furnished patio for outdoor dining with barbecue.
1 baby bed + high chair available, free of charge.
Mosquito screens on the windows of the bedrooms, living area and large blue bathroom, while the beds have mosquito nets (see photos).

We looked for a property that had Tuscan charm and Poggio Bello did not disappoint us. The villa comfortably accommodated 4 adults having 2 ensuited bedrooms that were located at opposite ends of the house. The kitchen was very well equipped and all appliances worked well.
The views of the countryside were relaxing and the setting was tranquil.
The town of Camucia was a 12 km drive with all the amenities we required such as a large Co-op with extended hours, restaurants, caffes, a weekly Thursday market, train station and, many other shops and services.
Day trips by car to Assisi, Orvieto and, Civetta, were easily made. Train connections to Florence were also good.
Most helpful was Simonetta and her family. The family was very friendly and helped us with any inquiries or requests we had. The property was well managed and we would recommend it to others without hesitation.

Our experience with this vacation property and with its owners was fantastic.
I would not change a single thing.
The property was beautiful, the location perfect and the ambience over the top!
The nearby hill towns offer so much to see and if you want to stay home there's no better place.

We were in Poggiobello 4 weeks in May and it was wonderful stay. Excellent and cozy accommodation with very friendly attitude of owners Simonetta and Pepe. You can do many trips in the circle not more than 100 km (Firenze, Siena, Assisi, Orvieto, Perugia, Cortona, Montepulciano, Montalcino, ...). Excellent conditions for bicycling (not difficult routes) - 4 mountain bikes available free. Large pool close to the olive garden, quiet surroundings, relax. Visit vineyards of Villa Loggia and taste their delicious wines.
I hope that we will spend more weeks there in the future.

A group of four of us stayed here and we absolutely loved the home and the owners! It was pure bliss in the country with postcard like views, the drive to Cortona is close and we lived the town. Poggiobello was very clean, spacious and charming with it's Tuscan style. My wife took a cooking class from owner and loved it! Would go back to again and again. Location is also close enogh if you want to drive to some wine regions in addition to other sights of Tuscany.

Our stay at the Poggiobello has been fantastic. This has been our favorite place during our trip in Italy. The villa is big, the pool deliciously quiet, the view on the thousand sunflowers fantastic, the owners are lovely people, the location ideal for daytrips, the place is perfect for family with kids. I'm telling you : THIS IS PARADISE.

The villa and grounds were unbelievably beautiful. We were surrounded by roses, an olive grove, fruit trees on the property, with lovely areas to sit outside and gaze at the surrounding countryside. The villa was decorated in traditional Tuscan style with much attention to detail. We loved our week there. It was the highlight of our trip

Poggiobello is an wonderful experience. A small guest home with two complete bedrooms and baths on either side of living and kitchen area. The property is quite new with all quality amenities. The owners are extremely friendly, helpful, and she is an amazing cook. The setting is beautiful rolling hills about 25 minutes to Cortona and close to a major roadway. Day trips in all directions are easy!! Amazing holiday!!!
