This charming property has undergone thoughtful renovation that has respected and maintained the interior character shaped by its preceding owners. The rental portion of the house occupies a single floor and is entirely independent, offering guests complete privacy and tranquility. The owners' apartment, located on the top floor, has a fully independent entrance and the owners, described as very reserved yet genuinely helpful, do not share the park or the pool with guests. Positioned just a few hundred metres from the centre of Cortona, Casa del Sole is pleasantly immersed in the surrounding green hillside, commanding sweeping views over the valley below. Guests benefit from complimentary Wi-Fi internet access throughout their stay, as well as private parking on the property. The estate extends across approximately 1,500 square metres, divided between a lush garden and terraced areas planted with olive trees, offering a generous yard in which to unwind and explore.

Outdoors

The park surrounding Casa del Sole spans approximately 1,000 square metres of the estate, of which around 500 square metres are dedicated to a beautifully maintained garden, with the remainder given over to terraced land planted with olive trees. The grounds are home to an impressive variety of mature trees, including oaks, holm oaks, linden, cypress, plum, and fig trees, creating a rich and shaded natural environment. Throughout the garden, carefully tended shrubs of viburnum, rosemary, and spiraea, along with bamboo and colourful potted flowers, embellish the various corners of the outdoor space. In a secluded area of the garden, a charming open-air lounge has been arranged with comfortable cushioned armchairs and a small rattan table, offering an ideal spot for relaxing in absolute peace. At the back of the house, a pergola is furnished with a table and chairs and equipped with a barbecue, providing a delightful setting for alfresco dining. Please note that the property photographs were taken in spring, and therefore the flowering and the colour of the garden grass may differ at the time of your arrival.

The non-heated swimming pool is situated approximately 20 metres from the house, in a lower position accessible via a downhill path with wide steps. Open from the last Saturday of April to the first Saturday of October, the pool is fully fenced and rectangular in shape, measuring 10 x 4 metres with a depth ranging from 1 to 2.20 metres. Access to the water is via Roman steps, and the pool is lined in PVC and purified using a chlorine system. It is illuminated by spotlights both outside and inside the water. The surrounding solarium area is equipped with sunbeds, chaises longues, and a sun umbrella, and a cold water shower is available at one side of the solarium.

The rental accommodation at Casa del Sole is entirely arranged on a single floor, making it particularly comfortable and accessible for guests. The main entrance opens into a spacious open-plan area comprising a fully equipped kitchen with a dining area and a sitting room featuring a working fireplace, the 2 spaces elegantly divided by a brick archway. A corridor leads from the living area to the sleeping quarters, which consist of 2 bedrooms: a double bedroom and a twin bedroom, both furnished with queen-size beds. The 2 bedrooms share 1 bathroom, which is fitted with both a bathtub and a shower. The property comfortably accommodates up to 4 guests.

While reserved, the owners are available and willing to assist guests should any need arise during the stay. The swimming pool is open from the last Saturday of April to the first Saturday of October. Pets are welcome at the property, with an additional cleaning fee applicable per animal per week. The rental price includes utilities covering electricity, water, and gas for cooking use, as well as weekly linen changes and both an initial and final cleaning of the property. The stay is also covered by the Zer0Dep Guarantee, meaning guests are not required to pay a security deposit either on balance or upon arrival, and benefit from EuropAssistance coverage in the event of accidental damage to the property during the stay, up to a maximum of 1,500 euros and subject to the limitations provided.
