The Experience
San Giovanni, built towards the end of the 17th century, is the only villa on Torcello and is surrounded by an enormous garden. The property takes its name from the Romanesque church of San Giovanni some of whose ruins have been restored and which can still be admired in the garden.
After arriving you will be greeted by the owner or manager where you’ll find a lovely clean well-maintained property with views of the hills and the sea perfect for a splendid vacation in Veneto. For your enjoyment you will find a private pool where you can unwind while enjoying a nice cold beverage after a busy day of visiting museums. Dining with friends and family is a huge part of the Italian culture. Take advantage of the well-equipped kitchen to prepare meals using local produce while on your vacation. The kitchen includes coffee machine, microwave, toaster, stove and refrigerator, as well as, plenty of tableware and cutlery for up to 14 people. Dine 'al fresco' like a real Italian, the fully furnished veranda is the ideal setting to enjoy food, family and the nice Italian weather.

What's Nearby?
From Torcello it is possible to visit either by vaporetto or by water taxi the islands of the Venetian lagoon, including Burano, which is famous for its lace, and Murano, which is famous for its glass. The centre of Venice can also be reached easily by vaporetto. The vaporetto stop is only a five-minute walk from the villa.
There are many nearby cities and towns that you can visit while on holiday, each one with its own history and culture that you can enjoy during your visit. The highway is only 7 km (4 mi) from the villa and there is a train station 10 km (6 mi) away.
