As we are always updating our portfolio, we thought it might be helpful to showcase just a selection of the wonderful new vacation rentals in Italy that have been added to Italy Villas. Here are some of our most recent and favourite additions...

1. Villa Dell'angelo (From €300 per night)

This extraordinary stone country house is located in a scenic position on the hillsides of Lucca, near the lovely spa town of Monsummano Terme.

Monsummano Terme is a welcoming and famous spa town is located in the province of Pistoia. It is divided into two sections, Monsummano Alto and Monsummano Basso, an historic, older part of the town and a more modern section. The town is a haven for nature lovers and is in a scenic setting, surrounded by flora and fauna. Best known for its thermal water natural spas, the town is home to a famous cave that was formed thousands of years ago and is now a world-renowned attraction. So beautiful that the composer Giuseppe Verdi dubbed it “the eighth wonder of the world,” the cave is all the more wonderful because of the natural Turkish bath formed inside of it.

Discovered in the 19th century, the caves garnered much attention and treatment rooms were opened inside the cave, which eventually became the present-day Grotta Giusti Spa. Its reputation spread internationally and it attracted royalty and celebrities alike. The complex that exists at the Grotta today also offers an outdoor therapeutic spa pool with a waterfall and hydromassage, a well-being centre and a spa centre.

All this week we have been talking about what a wonderful selection of villas we have in the incredible region of Veneto and, while Venice is not all there is to the whole region, it is a truly incredible city worth seeing at least once in a lifetime.

This apartment boasts incredible stylish interiors and is located in a 15th century building in the centre of Venice in the Castello district, 50 m from the canal.

We have have been talking about Veneto all this week, which is a rather unsung hero when it comes to holiday destinations in Italy. Everyone, of course, knows Venice and Veneto and there are famous skiing areas in the region, too, but the wider region has been left relatively untouched by tourism.

Don't be deceived, however, as this is not because of a lack of things to see or do or of beauty. In fact, it is the exact opposite. Plus, some of our most extraordinary vacation rentals are located in Veneto.
