View of Villa Della Regina
The Villa della Regina is a seventeenth century palace in Turin, Piedmont. It was originally designed by Ascanio Vitozzi in 1615 but after his death that year, the project was given over to Carlo and Amadeo di Castellamonte. The building was commissioned by Maurice of Savoy, then brother to the Savoy King.

As one of the Piedmontese Residences of the Royal House of Savoy, the Villa della Regina is now a UNESCO World Heritage Site and is also a museum.

Only relatively recently was it opened to the public after restorations were completed in 2006.     Read More

  

Gargano Coastline
Gargano is a sub-region of the province of Foggia in Apulia in Italy. It is probably most well-known for its National Park and natural beauty. Like most of the south of Italy, it is comprised of rocky cliffs and azure seas but is especially lush due to the fact that the peninsula is partially covered by forestry.

Villa Belgiojoso Bonaparte, Milan
The Villa Belgiojoso Bonaparte in Milan, Lombardy is also known as the Villa Reale and the Villa Comunale. It was originally built for Count Ludovico Barbiano di Belgiojoso in the 18th century and today is owned by the Comune of Milan and houses the Gallery of Modern Art. Giorgio Armani
This month, coordinating with the label's 40th anniversary, Armani opened a museum and exhibition space in Milan called Armani Silos. It is dedicated to Giorgio Armani's designs of the last 40 years, displaying around 600 items of clothing and over 200 accessories. Located in the fashionable Tortona area in Milan, the building is a former granary for the Nestlé company and is comprised of exhibition space, a café, gift shop and digital archive.

Erice is a historic town located on top of Mount Erice in Sicily. Primarily medieval in appearance, it, in fact, has much older origins. The ancient Greek name, Eryx, is associated with a Greek hero of the same name who was said to have been king of the town.

However, the town was actually established by the Phoenicians. It was destroyed in the First Punic War and declined in importance thereafter.
