When one thinks of Italy, they likely think of good eating, historic towns, incredible art, scenic landscapes and wonderful beaches. However, it's not all relaxing in pastoral settings, there is also adventure to be had! From theme parks and water parks to vast underground caves and rushing rapids, there are all sorts of thrilling activities to enjoy.

Ravello is a southern Italian town on the famous Amalfi Coast that is perched high above the ocean and boasts a panorama that Gore Vidal once described as “the most beautiful in the world.” It is a refined, polished town that has Roman and Medieval roots and reflects a diverse range of historic styles in its architectural identity. However, one of the town's most beautiful buildings is a far more recent addition.

The stunning coastal town of Sorrento is located in the bay of Naples and is one of those perfect places to relax on the beach, wander, eat too much and sip tasty drinks. It is the ideal place to relax and unwind and do very little of anything at all. Cilento is a region of Campania and is part of the national park of Parco Nazionale del Cilento, Vallo di Diano e Alburni along with the Vallo di Diano and the Monti Alburni. The park was actually founded in 1991 in order to protect the territory of Cilento from the area being built up or from being damaged by mass tourism and was made a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1998.

One of the most unspoiled and beautiful regions of Italy, it remains largely off the radar for most tourists and is a great spot to explore if you're looking for something a little more relaxed and quiet. Just find a vacation rental in Campania and get a little closer to nature.
