Jesolo is a stunning seaside resort that is located on a stretch of the coast in Veneto between the Venice Lagoon and the Piave River Delta, and if you have found a vacation rental in Veneto, consider heading there.

A hub of fun and sun and excitement, there is lots to do at all times of the day.

The town has roots going back to the 6th Century AD and was given the name Cavazzucherina in the 15th Century. In 1930 it became known as Jesolo and, around the same time, in the late 1920s, it became a tourist destination, with the first beach establishments, hotels and restaurants popping, eventually making it one of the most important hubs for tourism on the Adriatic.

Rich in historical sites, it is home to ancient walls that contain a vast archaeological area, measuring over 380,000 square feet in the Pine Forest, and a Civic Museum of Natural History that boasts around 15,000 objects.

The aforementioned pine forest and lush surrounding landscape also makes Jesolo a great destination for active holiday-makers who can go hiking, horse-riding or biking.

There are plenty of opportunities for other sports and activities in the area like tennis, soccer, volleyball, swimming and golf on some of Italy's finest greens.

In addition, as a seaside resort, it boasts some excellent beaches with kilometers of well-outfitted coastline that offers bars, restaurants, shops and an active nightlife to party the night away – if you're not already tired from all the other pursuits during the day!
