3. Villa Di Montelopio

Villa Di Montelopio dates from the 16th century and still retains the atmosphere of the period, though part has been totally restored in recent years. You still find the cotto floors and the beamed ceilings but with all modern comforts now a bonus.
San Giovanni
The castellated towers, stone exterior walls, ivy clinging to the facade, high ceilings, intricate details of the decor, intense sense of character and artworks all make for an incredibly romantic and picturesque experience that one won't quickly forget. Opulent, distinctive and refined, this property is a must for history or luxury lovers and will make your feel as though you've stepped back through time. It is available from just €542 per night and sleeps up to nine in five bedrooms.

4. San Giovanni

Another historic gem is San Giovanni; probably our most striking historic property. It is a typical house of the Veneto and is perched right on the water at Torcello, a lovely lagoon town that was a precursor of Venice but later abandoned in favour of that more famous city. San Giovanni was built towards the end of the seventeenth century and is the only villa on Torcello.
Castello Pandolfini
It features rich, elegant interiors that seem truly untouched and uncompromised by time and is surrounded by an enormous garden with a private pool. The property sleeps up to 12 in 6 bedrooms and is available from €1141 per night, a price that reflects its luxurious finish and incredibly well-preserved state that will make all of your period drama fantasies come to life.

5. Castello Pandolfini

One of the biggest players among our historic properties is the massive Castello Pandolfini, which is a great beauty and a perfect venue for a wedding. The grand interiors retain much of their original character and are sprinkled with antique furniture, details and works of art, while still offering all the features of modernity and facilities that make for a wonderful holiday: WiFi, air conditioning and a private pool. The property can accommodate up to 18 people comfortably in nine bedrooms with seven bathrooms and is located on extensive grounds in the stunning surroundings of the Chianti region of Tuscany. For those planning an elegant family wedding and looking to house their guests under one roof, there could be no better option than this villa, which is available from €1500 per night.
