5. Luisa Beccaria
Luisa Beccaria is a brand that we expect dreamy, floaty and pretty from and that's what we always get but it's okay because they do it so well. This time around it was a particularly romantic iteration that harkened to neoclassical paintings and 19th century nightgowns before transforming into something a little more modern within the first few garments. Broderie anglaise and ruffles abounded and pastels were rampant. These are the dresses that we will see on beautiful actresses and singers on the red carpet and press junkets and they will look suitably pretty in them. If you are looking for garments to satisfy all your Rossetti dreams, look no further.
6. Fendi
Fendi presented a very summer-appropriate collection (though the couple of furs throughout were head-scratchers) inspired by the ever-warmer Italian summers and reminding us of global warming. Using naturally-occurring materials and inspired by the works of Giacomo Balla, an early twentieth century proponent of the Futurist movement, there is a distinct use of geometric patterns and silhouettes throughout. This is a typically elegant and glamorous Fendi but there is something noticeably cool and edgy about it as well – the best kind of Fendi.
