One of the biggest things that draws people to the idea of celebrity is the opportunity, both in career and fiscally, to travel the world. We are constantly bombarded by paparazzi and personal social media images of celebrities travelling the globe and exploring some of the most beautiful places in the world – places we might have always wanted to visit for ourselves. If Florence is on your own bucket list and you are planning all the things you want to do on your trip, you might consider giving Beyoncé and Jay-Z's itinerary from when they visited in May of 2015 a glance – you might even get some inspiration for your own trip! Find a luxury villa in Florence and truly have the complete celebrity experience.

The really great thing about the Carters' itinerary is that most of it was rather normal and completely achievable for most people, showing that you don't necessarily have to spend lots of money in order to have an amazing holiday and that sometimes the best way to truly experience a city is to stop and appreciate all of the little things!
One of the first things that you're going to want to do, if you're following in Beyoncé's footsteps, it to head to the Piazza della Repubblica where there is a giant carousel with 20 horses and two gilded carriages.

Even if you don't have a little one in the group to ride it with, it's definitely worth going merely to appreciate it, or go on it for a spin yourself.
Made of wood and painted brightly in reds and blues, the carousel is an antique and is owned by the Picci family who have been running it for generations.
A very pretty and special carousel, it has lights which illuminate paintings of Roman gods on the inside column and plays accordion versions of Neapolitan ballads.
Head just south of the piazza and you'll find yourself at the Ponte Vecchio, the city's most famous bridge. Here you'll get wonderful views of the city across the water and you can stop for a photo op as Beyoncé made sure to do. Open all day, free, beautiful and historic, it's worth admiring rather than merely crossing. Other cultural spots visited by the pair include San Miniato al Monte, a stunning 11th century basilica in the centre of the city. With a polychromatic exterior and gilded interior, it's an exceptionally beautiful building. Don't forget to stop by the Uffizi to see Michelangelo's David as well – a highlight for most visitors to the city but one which was documented on Instagram by Beyoncé, in particular.
Finish off with pizza in Il Pizzaiuolo and gelato in Edoardo's to complete a day in Florence in the style of Hip-hop's king and queen.
