Canale di Tenno was slowly abandoned after World War II but thankfully it was brought back to life in the sixties with lots of entertaining cultural and artistic events hosted here. Be sure to visit the beautiful Casa degli Artisti, Home of the Artists. It was dedicated to the honour of the famous Italian artist, Giacomo Vittone and is a meeting spot for well-known artists from around the world.

Canale di Tenno had one of the original urban town layouts that planners still use today; with four streets converging into a main square.

Every year a wonderful festival is hosted here in the first two weeks of August when the townsfolk come out to celebrate key moments it its history. Music, street performances and a feast of local food dishes are presented to all who come to witness the action! In the winter months the village is lit up with twinkling candles and little stalls for the Christmas markets.
