These caves are among the largest in Sardinia and are home to the tallest stalactites and stalagmites in Europe, some ranging as tall as 38 metres! Visitors can gaze down the sixty metre deep chasm called the ‘Abyss of the Virgins’ and discover more about geological formation of this place. There were even bones and jewellery unearthed here that date back to the Bronze Age!
