The famous Castel del Monte
The pretty region of Apulia is located in the south of the country...it’s often referred to as the ‘high heel’ on the boot of Italy! It’s bordered by Molise, Campania and Basilicata and is made up of six provinces called Bari, Barletta-Andria-Trani, Brindisi, Foggia, Lecce and Taranto.

Why not treat yourself to one of many cosy luxury villas in Apulia to add some extra glamour to your vacation?

This is a wonderfully warm region that produces the very best in fine wines, delicious fresh fruit and vegetables. The capital of Apulia is Bari which is packed with lots of attractions for tourists to visit!
The coastal Torre dell'Orso
The landscape consists mostly of low hills and plains making it the least mountainous region in Italy. It’s a land of rich archaeological treasures which demonstrate a huge Roman influence in their design.

It can boast of a very large coastline with spectacular beaches like Torre dell Orso and the Riviera of Otranto. The beautiful Tremiti Islands lie just off the coast here and offer lots of exciting water sports to engage in.

The food here is nothing short of divine. Tuck into a steaming bowl of mussel soup or a seafood platter of succulent fresh shellfish and salad washed down with a glass of crisp white wine! Sit back and enjoy the splendid views of the sea as you sip a hot espresso afterwards along with a fine selection of desserts and biscuits.

Be sure to visit San Giovanni Rotondo in Foggia and the monastery where the infamous Saint Padre Pio was afflicted with Stigmata and died years later. His body has been preserved in a specially made glass tomb for visitors to see here!
The infamous Trulli buildings
Tour around the unusual buildings of Alberobello called Trulli which are cute stone houses with cone roofs! They have been awarded with the UNESCO World Heritage Site status for their touristic appeal.

If you’re not one to shy away from a hearty celebration then be sure to drop into the colourful lively carnival of Putignano where you can sample a delicious range of local delicacies and experience a wonderful array of culture and tradition!

Also be sure to take a walk around the White City of Ostuni and the medieval architectural triumph of Castel del Monte in Andria town!

Apulia has so much and then some more to offer visitors to why not choose it as your next Italian holiday destination!
