Everything about the place was perfect. Great views, great lawn, great indoor space, even greater hosts Gabriele and Lucia (whose cooking is better than 5 star restaurants). If forced to complain about something, I can only say we couldn't swim because the water was too cold in the pool. Granted the weather was cool. I would score it a 10 out of 10 though since I'm not a big swimmer anyway.

I wish there was a rating even higher than excellent to give! Villa Fabroni was beautiful, the owners were the best, and the countryside was spectacular. If you go, be sure to schedule some dinners at the castle itself. The owner is a great cook and even gives cooking lessons! The cooking lesson was the highlight of our trip and the best food we had. You can also make day trips to Florence, Sienna, San Gimignano, Lucca and Cinque Terre. Te furthest is only a 3 hour drive away!

This is a Great Apartment!! We felt like we were staying in the apartment of a close friend. Its very close to the Leaning Tower and to the entertainment and shopping area. The apartment has everything you need and Anna provided a couple bottles of wine! We will stay there again!

The communication between the renter and the owner is just non exist. I asked several times about WI-FI which is a must for me - the agency promised me 3 times that there is a WI-FI, well there was not.
The agency promised a well equipped kitchen but there was no cattle, no micro, no coffe machine. I was single. the owner wait for a whole family. I have write a mail to the owner before my visit and got no answer - he does not know one word in english. the appartment is a condominion made of materials that one is hearing everything that goes on in any other apartment in volumes that made me crasy.

L'appartamento finemente rifinito è munito d ogni confort, certamente non potevamo riempire il frigorifero in quanto la ristorazione non è nella ns. offerta e inoltre la caffettiera c'è bisogna solo saperla usare.
The apartment has no WIFI but an internet USB key (as we write on the website) but this guest was very pretentious and unhelpful and perhaps due to the lack of knowledge of software, she could not use it even after extensive explanations, even though she had at his disposal a hostess who constantly (in English) provided clarification.
The finely finished apartment is equipped with every comfort. We certainly could not fill the refrigerator because the restaurant is not in our offer. There is a coffee maker, you just have to know how to use it.
Goed en vriendelijk ontvangst door eigenaresse (zelfs met zelf gebakken koekjes en een fles plaatselijke wijn!).
Huisje zelf is ruim van opzet en laat eigenlijk weinig te wensen over. Het terras is groot. Op zich is dit een prive terras. Maar dat kwam met name omdat zwembad nog gesloten was in april. Als zwembad open is zit je hier niet prive omdat het een gedeeld zwembad is. De huurders ''beneden" maken dan ook gebruik van een deel van het terras. Dat zou ik als een groot nadeel ervaren (zeker als je een gezin met jonge kinderen treft).
De omgeving is echt prachtig! Montespertoli ligt ook erg centraal voor diverse dagtripjes (tip: Lucca!). Ook zijn er diverse (eenvoudige) restaurantjes te vinden in de nabije omgeving waar je voor 40 euro 3 gangen eet met wijn voor 2 personen.
Minpunten: bed erg slecht! klein en oncomfortabel (ik lag met mijn 1.90 met voeten uit bed). Ook was bijna iedere nacht de blaffende van de Italiaanse overbuurman te horen, waardoor we regelmatig wakker lagen.
Je moet wel goed weer hebben, want met slecht weer is het wat lastiger om de dagen te vullen.
Maar over het algemeen een aanrader (maar denk aan de genoemde minpunten).

A beautiful location with great views over the Tuscan countryside towards San Gimignano. The owner and his family were very welcoming and did everything to make our holiday enjoyable. One or two aspects of the property need renewing/updating but I understand that these are to be undertaken soon.

We enjoyed our stay at Casa Edera in Castel San Gimignano. First of all, it was easy to find and the parking was easy and secure. We were warmly welcomed and shown around the grounds, which were very beautiful and well-maintained. The neighbours were also very helpful and patient with us when we tried to speak Italian. The apartment itself was large, and although somewhat dark, it was lovely and cool to return to after a warm day of sight-seeing. One minute from the door is a beautiful swimming pool and garden and also a lovely upper garden where we would sit to admire the view looking toward San Gimignano. It was a good location as Siena, Volterra, San Gimignano, Col di Val'Elsa and other towns were not far away and the driving was easy. It was also convenient to have a well-stocked grocery store one minute from our door. Our host is chef at a nearby restaurant where we had a wonderful and reasonably priced dinner. All in all it was a great holiday and hopefully we will have the opportunity to return.

We spent 6 wonderful days in Tuscany staying at Il Pigionale. It was just what we had hoped it would be! It is in a small little village with just what you need, a small grocery with meats, cheeses, and wines, a little fruit and vegetable store, a church (which I think everyone in the village attended Sunday), a bakery,
and two bars where you get your morning coffee and roll! ( All within walking distance)!The people in the village all knew we were visitors and were very welcoming to us! We felt like we were a part of the village! The young brother and sister that manage it
are precious and we feel in love with them! One of
our favorite experiences of the whole trip was our cooking lesson and dinner at their home. We were apart of cooking a wonderful Tuscan dinner including Tiramisu!!!! They are a lovely family and the evening was delightful!!
The house was perfect for two couples with a bedroom downstairs and two upstairs. We both had our own bathrooms!
It is centrally located for day trips to Arezzo, Florence, Siena, Assisi, etc.

If you are searching for a place to stay, stop. Villa Fabbroni is a wonderful place to stay and Sergio and Steffano are wonderful hosts. This is our favorite place to stay in Italy and we will stay there again. The accommodations were great, the view was beautiful and the food and cooking class is excellent. You will not be disappointed. Can't wait to go back. The villa is fantastic.

Zeer mooi uitzicht op San Gimignano. Compleet huisje voor een mooie prijs in de Toscane.
Minpuntje is de geluidsoverlast van de eigenaren. Vermoedelijk ligt de huiskamer van de eigenaren aan de slaapkamer. Je kunt letterlijk iedere avond de televisie van de eigenaren horen en ook als er visite is dan kan het behoorlijk veel geluidsoverlast geven.

Minus is the noise of the owners. Presumably the owners' living room is next to the bedroom. You can literally hear the owners' television every evening and also if they have visits it can give some noise.
