A Very good location in the town, Jane was very helpful and pointed us in the direction of events in the town. Down side is probably lack of a terrace to the appartment but it is possible to sit outside at the top of the tower or in the courtyard. We had a low slung car and could not get it over the entrance into the courtyard. Had to park in the new town and use the funicular.

This tower was better than advertised. Luca was easy to deal with and very helpful. Thoroughly recommend. Figline is a really lovely Tuscan town - there may be others that are a little prettier but they are full of tourists. Figline is a real town with friendly people.

This was a lovely place to stay, beautifully furnished and maintained. The only issue we had was that there was no kettle and tea towels would have been useful. Overall- a little piece of heaven

Very clean, secured, close to a Metro station and 3 minutes from the train station, beside a grocery market. Our host Ms. Bin answered all out touristic questions, was very helpful guiding us through the city and gave us tips to save time in lines-ups and cash. Good budget hotel. Will go back

Four of us stayed at Podere La Marronaia -- my wife and I, and another couple. The setting in the vineyard and olive grove is spectacular. You can see the town of San Gimingnano on top of the next hill. The apartment has two bedrooms, one downstairs and one loft up a steep circular staircase. There is a large dining / living room with seating for six for eating. There are a lot of pots and pans, dishes, tableware, etc. Wifi is not available in the apartment itself, but it works outside. There is a small TV with all Italian stations. A pool is available for swimming. The owner, Silvia, is very pleasant and was always available for our questions and to provide help. Her English is very good. One afternoon she invited us to taste the wines and olive oil made at her farm.

The apartment was everything we had hoped for. It was spacious, stylish and had excellent facilities. The entrance was rather uninviting but after climbing the forty or so steps up to the apartment, you are rewarded with a gem of a find for your stay in Lucca. There are several shops nearby, including a bakers, a butchers, greengrocers and general store. There are many restaurants to choose from and we enjoyed those recommended by the apartment owners.
