My family and I absolutely loved staying here. After the business of Florence and Venice, Lucignano, but more specifically this villa, was the perfect place to take a break and enjoy the beautiful countryside. The host was incredibly helpful in many ways. He also arranged a winery tour for us which was minutes away and amazing. He guided us to butcher shops, grocery stores, helped us understand when things were open or closed, etc. The place itself was amazing. Our group was able to spread out and have space to ourselves but a wonderful big kitchen, pool, and hot tub to gather as a group. I would recommend this place every time!

The nicest family to stay at. The best view of Toscana from the apartment, and the pool. We saw Wild boars, golden eagles and lots of beautiful butterflies. From Il Gattero you can reach the most ancient and fascinating small villages within an hour by car. This is not just another place to stay, Massimo and his lovely family makes it feel like home.

Héél rustig gelegen vakantieverblijf, helemaal in de natuur, op het einde van een doodlopende (steil aflopende) weg.
Geschikt voor twee volwassenen, eventueel met 2 kinderen, maar weinig accommodatie in de buurt voor de jeugdigen.
Even rijden naar de dichtstbijzijnde "stad" Vicchio, een uurtje naar Firenze. Midden in de Mugello met prachtige landschappen en een aantal leuke stadjes.

The views from this property are simply breathtaking. Truly. Whether sunny, watching a storm roll in, following the rainbows post-storm ... there's magic here in the beauty of Il Sangiovese. And, once we fully supplied ourselves with sponges, dish soap, etc., the house was perfect for our extended family to stay together and have casual breakfasts and dinner as we explored Tuscany in different combinations during the day.

You come for the location and forgive the inadequacies of the accommodation. But after two years here we won't be coming back. We'd hoped things might have improved this year, but sadly not. The facilities just aren't up to it. In the end they get you down. You simply don't expect to spend the first few days of you holiday asking for a list of basic items to be provided, or buying things yourself to equip the kitchen and bedrooms. Last year we described the place as having the charm of your granny's house. This year, from broken chairs and equipment, to torn bedsheets and bed bug ridden beds, the place felt neglected; as if granny had now moved out. It's such a shame because it's a lovely villa and it would take so little to make it better.
[Counter comment from the owner] For the next season 2024 the owner will surely make some improvements. Further the house will be rented for a maximum of 8 people to make the stay more comfortable.
Fue una experiencia UNICA. Vivir acá es para quienes realmente deseen vivir en La Toscana en un ambiente sencillo y acogedor. No tiene los grandes lujos que a veces persiguen las personas, sino que naturaleza, insectos y un entorno agrícola sostenible. Es muy cerca de la Florencia y los autobuses funcionan perfecto para ir a supermercado de Sandini donde es más barato.
