Villa Paneretta is next to the ancient Castello della Paneretta and its cellars: the production of Chianti Classico wine represents the main activity and guests of Villa Paneretta will have the privilege of tasting the unique flavor of its bottles of wine directly on the spot. The castle is open (at fixed times) for tastings and visits but the guests of Villa Paneretta will always enjoy the exclusivity of their outdoor spaces and swimming pool.
The private swimming pool is located about 50 meters away from the villa and can be reached by walking under the historic castle walls. The location of Villa Paneretta is very strategic: you are halfway between Florence and Siena and in the heart of the Chianti Classico region.

This beautiful farmhouse is located in a very quiet and secluded position on the Castello di Volpaia estate, where we have successfully been renting two other properties, La Pozza and Il Casetto for many years. Guests can enjoy incredible views from the covered terrace, which is furnished for outdoor eating and is also very practical for families as it overlooks the pool, allowing parents to relax while keeping an eye on the pool area. The fortified hamlet of Volpaia offers two nice restaurants, one of which owned by the estate. The English speaking estate staff can organize cooking lessons, visits to the wine cellars and will be glad to assist guests during their stay.

A paved courtyard positioned in front of the suite entrances serves as the central outdoor dining area, creating a natural gathering point for guests. Scattered throughout the garden, you will find numerous gazebos and dedicated relaxation areas, a ping pong table, and 2 barbecue areas, all designed to encourage outdoor living at its finest. Please note that the photographs of the garden were taken in spring, and therefore the flowering and grass colours may differ from what you observe upon arrival. The crown jewel of the outdoor space is the pool area, reached from the house via a short, level path of approximately 15 metres. The expansive sunbathing terrace, paved in travertine, is generously equipped with sunbeds, deckchairs, and tables, and at its centre lies a striking free-form swimming pool spanning 110 square metres, with a varying depth of 70 to 150 cm. The pool is lined in PVC, features Roman steps, and is maintained with chlorine purification. The pool is open from the last Saturday in April to the first Saturday in October. Completing this exceptional area are 2 hydromassage pools: one with a rounded shape that is heated, and one with a square shape measuring 4 x 4 metres, which can be heated on request. Both offer a breathtaking vantage point from which to admire the sweeping landscapes of the Crete Senesi that surround the property.

The non-heated swimming pool, open from the last Saturday of April to the first Saturday of October, is positioned on a terrace at a lower level approximately 15 metres from the house, reached via a short flight of steps and a paved pathway across the lawn. Measuring 6 x 9 metres with a constant depth of 1.50 metres, the pool is lined in PVC, features a wooden edge and a ladder for water access, and is equipped with a chlorine purification system. The surrounding stone-paved sunbathing area is bordered by hedges and furnished with sunbeds and an umbrella. Adjacent to the pool, a wisteria-covered pergola provides a shaded and relaxing retreat with a table and chairs, and a cold-water shower is also available for your convenience. In 1996 we moved to the Crete Senesi and we fell in love with this farmhouse Etruscan origins, medieval mill, peace and tranquillity. That’s why we decided to share it with our guests and their four-legged friends.
The farm keeps the whole family busy: Alessandro (biologist, nature guide and Sommelier), Elisa who looks after the administration, Mauro and Paola, retired but full time busy on the farm. And we hope that in the future even Emma and Guido will give us a helping hand.
We produce vegetables and fruit, olive oil and truffles from organic agriculture.
For our guests we organize a rich programme of initiatives discovering the colours and flavours of the Crete, wine tasting in our cosy winery and excursions by bike guided by Alessandro who is fond of cycling.

Within the extensive estate, the owners reside in a completely independent and separate area of the property and do not interfere in any way with your use of the park or the swimming pool. Pets are welcome at the villa, subject to prior authorisation from the owner, which must be requested before arrival with details regarding the number, size, and breed of the animals. An extra cleaning fee applies for guests travelling with pets. The property also features a sauna and a Turkish bath, available on request. Parking is available on site within the dedicated parking area close to the main entrance. The fitness area and games table on the ground floor offer additional recreational options for guests of all ages.
