Outdoors
The outdoor spaces of Torre Grimaldi are among its most extraordinary features, beginning with the rooftop panoramic terrace situated at the very top of the tower. This elevated sun terrace is furnished with a sitting area and sun loungers, offering an uninterrupted backdrop of sweeping sea views that stretch across the Mediterranean toward the French coast. The main terrace, accessed via a spiral staircase of 37 steps, serves as the primary entrance point to the property and provides an additional outdoor space for relaxation and enjoyment. The shared botanical park of Castello Voronoff, in which the tower is set, is a terraced garden of remarkable diversity, featuring citrus trees, palm trees, succulent plants, olive trees, aromatic herbs, and flowering shrubs, along with walking trails, scenic viewpoints, and shaded benches distributed throughout the grounds. The communal swimming pool, which is non-heated, is located at the lower part of the estate and can be reached either on foot or via a lift carved directly into the rock. Rectangular in shape and measuring 20 x 10 metres with a maximum depth of 4 metres, the pool is finished with light blue PVC, equipped with a salt purification system, and features internal lighting. It is surrounded by a generous sun terrace and is open from mid-June to mid-September. The shared tennis court is situated at the upper part of the park, features a granulated concrete surface, is fully fenced, and meets standard court dimensions. It is available on request, though it is not illuminated for evening play.

Torre Grimaldi accommodates a maximum of 4 guests across its distinctive multi-level configuration, which is connected throughout by a series of internal staircases built from original stone. The property is arranged across four principal levels, each with its own character and function. The main level, reached through the entrance door on the primary terrace, comprises an open-plan room featuring a small living area with an ornamental fireplace, a dining table, and a kitchenette. From this level, a first flight of stairs descends to the lower level, where the sole bedroom is located: a double bedroom complete with an ensuite bathroom fitted with a shower, providing 1 bedroom and 1 of the property's 2 bathrooms in a private and self-contained arrangement. A second flight of stairs ascends from the main level to the tower level, which houses a living room and a bathroom with a bathtub, the second of the property's 2 bathrooms. COMMON AREAS:
By renting only 1 apartment, or 2 apartments, the garden, the tennis table, the wood burning oven, the BBQ, the swimming pool, and the “mini-spa” will be shared with the other guests of the villa. Therefore, you won’t have the exclusive use of the external features.
Please note that the owner generally comes everyday at the property, to take care of garden, and to clean pool and Jacuzzi; to make sure all guests can enjoy the facilities.
The villa offers a swimming pool, a large 6-seat Jacuzzi, garden, and an incredible view of the Ligurian sea.
Located 50 meters above sea level, and only 5 minutes by car from the beach, the villa is surrounded by olive trees, flowers and plants, creating a typical Mediterranean garden.
The pool, with panoramic sea-view, is on the garden plateau (in Northern Italy, “il Poggiolo” means “the balcony”).
“Villa il Poggiolo” is perfect for your Italian holidays: sun, swimming, sunbathing, relax and fun with family and friends.

• The villa is slightly on a hill, in an area called “Monade”, one of the most renowned areas of Diano Marina, with an outstanding sea-view over the Gulf.
• The property faces south and is embraced by the sun all day long.
• Very quiet area, without traffic.
There are about 350m of uphill street to reach the villa. It is walkable, if you are used to walking a bit.
By car, everything is reached easily in just a few minutes (supermarkets, town centre etc). There are many shops, supermarkets, also rather large ones close by. We can recommend a few places where you can park your car in the busiest or hottest days, so you can approach the city centre and avoid the uphill.
At the villa: plenty of parking space (up to 8 standard cars can fit).
The parking is in the private property, behind a gate.
One EV charging station (for 1 vehicle) is available in the garden (extra cost, to pay according to consumption if used).

Closest cafes, bakeries, and supermarket are about 1,2 km away (in Viale Kennedy).
Bring your trekking or MTB equipment! The area offers many hiking trails and bike friendly areas, in the hills and woods. Very panoramic and for all levels!
THE VILLA, THE GARDEN AND THE POOL:
The swimming pool and the outside area have been totally renovated to guarantee fun and relax.
This quality space is surrounded by nature and has a breath-taking sea-view.
The new infinity edged swimming pool is beautiful to look at, and the water is constantly filtered and controlled.
The white non-slip floor that surrounds the pool won’t burn your feet under the hot July and August sun!
The solarium area is shaded by two sail awnings and there are numerous sunbeds, beach-chairs, and a hammock at your disposal.
Swimming pool measures 10 meters by 5 (32 feet by 16), with roman steps.
The Jacuzzi hot tub, accommodating up to 6 people, is situated in a glass house with a motorised roof which is perfect for relaxing and gazing at the stars.
You can even control the coloured LED lights inside the pool, to create your own nightly lightshow.

Imagine yourself spending a relaxing evening immersed in the warm water of the “Jacuzzi”.

All these extra touches create an ideal romantic atmosphere, with a sea-view and the city lights below.
This is the atmosphere of the new “ViP mini-spa”!
The “mini-spa” has glass sliding doors, and a motorised roof that can be opened and closed with a click of the remote control.
The Jacuzzi can be used also in the winter (upon request, surcharge).
In summer, the temperature is kept at around 30°/32°. In colder season, the Jacuzzi can be heated up to 36°/38°.
Important: the maximum capacity of the Jacuzzi is 6 people at a time. Careful and respectful use of Jacuzzi is required, so that it won’t be damaged, and so that all guests are able to use it anytime.
The Jacuzzi is cleaned daily and, if misuse makes the hot-tub unusable, the water will need to be changed. However, in this case, it takes a long time to empty, refill and heat it. As a result, it will be unavailable for almost a day. All guests of the villa need to be able to enjoy the hot tub equally, so it's important to use it with care. Thanks for understanding!
There is an iPad at your disposal which allows you to transmit music to the garden and the “mini-spa”, thanks to the “Bose” outside music system. This system is remote controlled by guests permitting to activate or deactivate the areas that they desire.

COMMON AREA:
Peculiarity of the building: our guests can enjoy a large common area on the roof of the condominium, on the 5th floor!
It is a solarium terrace: a common area, shared within all residents and guests of the condominium. There aren't reserved spaces.
This terrace is panoramic (sea-view, and you can see Cervo medieval village, Capo Berta hill, and Diano Marina), and it is possible to hang out laundry on common hanging lines.
There is a second terrace available, on the 4th floor, less panoramic.

It is not possible to leave the provided chairs on the terrace, and for this reason we provide our guests with two folding chairs*, which will allow a relaxing time outdoors. Sun bath, or enjoying the evening breeze!
*Please always bring the provided chairs back into the apartment after use, and do not leave it unattended, for safety reasons.
The solarium terrace can be reached via the lift (in front of the apartment). For the terrace on the 5th floor, a short flight of stairs is required.
Pets are welcome in the apartment, but unfortunately they are not allowed on the solarium terrace for safety precautions.
PARKING:
No stress! We offer a private parking space for one vehicle, inside the property. Parking spaces for bicycles are also available (outdoors, unattended).
LOCATION AND SHOPS:
Within from the apartment, there are cafés, bakeries, pastry shops, shops selling typical Ligurian products, greengrocers, butchers, newsagent's, tobacconists, a supermarket, trattorias and restaurants.
One of the best ice cream shops in the area is 180 meters away (open only in the summer months).

Supermarket: 300 meters.
Cervo tennis and padel club: 1.1 km away.
ACTIVITIES:
Not just sunbathing and swimming! This is an excellent starting point for a beach stay, but also for visiting the gulf and its picturesque villages.
The medieval village of Cervo is less than 1.5 km away. A must-see!
Other suggested visits: Villa Faraldi and surroundings, Diano Castello, Imperia.
For walkers and hikers: we suggest a tour of the Ciapà Park (park with typical Mediterranean scrub). You can also wander on the paths of the Gulf of Diano Marina (ancient mule tracks, and paths in the pine forests).

The best breakfast place of Levanto, "Pasticceria Bianchi" (historical pastry shop - cafeteria) place is just 30 seconds on foot away.
“Casa Garibaldi” is the ideal accommodation for a pleasant seaside holiday, as well as the perfect starting point for discovering the nearby Cinque Terre.
Recommended for couples for a romantic getaway, or for a couple with two children because the apartment also has a bedroom with a bunk bed.

You will be welcomed personally by our staff: check-in (keys delivery, tourist tax collection) takes place at VIP-BOOKING office in Via Garibaldi, just in front of the apartment.

The apartment does not have private parking. Upon request, we can provide you with a Parking Pass that costs 5 euros per day.
This ticket allows you to park in all the paid parking lots in Levanto without having to pay the hourly rate at the parking meters.
Important: this ticket is not a private parking. It allows free parking in the blue parking lots of the town, with the exception of the parking lot above the beach, where it is not completely free but there is a reduced hourly rate.
