Property Description

Nice independent house with pool situated in a fantastic position offering beautiful panoramic views over the Tuscan hills and the towers of San Gimignano in the distance.
This beautiful house sits on a large estate (10.000 square meters) with olive groves and vineyards. The pool is approx. 20 m from the house away and it is to be shared with the owners. The house provides a nice, well-kept private garden.
Casa Lucia is sets on 2 levels (both with access on to the outside) and offers welcoming, nicely furnished interiors.
The property, thanks to its spacious interiors and its large exteriors, guarantees a pleasure and safe stay. All the areas, including the swimming pool, are carefully sanitized and sterilized for the health and tranquility of guests.
The location is ideal for those who want to enjoy the peace of the Tuscan countryside and at the same time wish to visit all the Chianti little towns such as Castellina in Chianti, Radda in Chianti, Greve in Chianti, Gaiole in Chianti.

Distances: Tavarnelle with general stores 2 km away, San Gimignano 20 km, Florence (airport) 33 km away, Siena 39 km, Pisa (airport) 95 km, Lucca 105 km away.
At guests’ disposal: large outside areas with furnished garden (ideal for al-fresco dining), panoramic swimming-pool (13 x 6 m – min. depth 1,3 m – max. depth 2,1 m – open from 01/06 to 30/09) to be shared with the owners, open-air shower (only cold water available) and barbecue. Parking within the grounds.

The initial deposit required to confirm a reservation to be paid at the time of booking (unless there are special conditions in place) is 25% of the total rent amount.

The balance is due 60 days before arrival.

For last-minute bookings (within 60 days of arrival) the full amount must be paid at the time of the booking.

In case of cancellation of the booking, even if it is substituted by another one, the following penalties apply:
- the initial deposit (25% of total rent) if the cancellation is made between booking time up to 61 days before arrival date;
- 100% of total rental price if the cancellation is made from 60 days to arrival date or in case of no show.

The property, pool and villa are beautiful and the view of the vineyards and valley is amazing. Casa Lucia is a great central location to explore the Tuscan countryside or just spend the day relaxing by the pool. Wish we could have stayed longer.

Die Unterkunft entspricht genau den abgebildeten Fotos. Unkomplizierte und verlässliche Buchungsabläufe. Sehr netter und zuvorkommender Eigentümer. Traumhafte Ausblicke durch die großen Panoramafenster im Wohn-/Esszimmer. Moderne Badezimmer im Untergeschoss. Sehr großer Pool mit schönen Liegen und blühendem Garten umgeben. Oliven- und Feigenbäume sowie Weinreben direkt zum Greifen nah rund um das Haus. Ausflüge nach Lucca, Florenz, Siena, San Gimignano, ins Chiantigebiet und ans Meer alle in ca. 1 Stunde gut mit dem Auto erreichbar. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und empfehlen diese schöne Unterkunft sehr gerne weiter.

The property is exactly so as shown in the pictures. Uncomplicated and reliable booking procedures. Very nice and accommodating owner. Fantastic views through the large panoramic windows in the living / dining room. Modern bathroom on the ground floor. Very large pool with comfortable beach chairs and surrounded by blooming garden. Olive and fig trees as well as grape vines directly to grasp around the house. Excursions to Lucca, Florence, Siena, San Gimignano, the Chianti area and the seaside all in about 1 hour by car. We felt very comfortable and recommend this nice accommodation very gladly.

Een toplocatie met je eigen privé boomgaard als achtertuin en uitzicht op s.giminiano. S Morgens de welbekende Toscaanse mist over de dalen zien trekken. Huisje en zwembad voorzien van alle comfort, vriendelijke eigenaars, een echte topper !

On pouvait presque toucher au paradis! Installée sur le haut d’une grande vallée dans la Tavernelle Val Di Pesa en Toscane, cette maison nous offre une vue panoramique incroyable. Très bien située entre Florence, Sienne et San Gimignano. Nous nous organisions pour être revenus en fin de journée pour assister aux couchers de soleil tout simplement splendides. Maison impeccable, avec toutes les commodités nécessaires. Hôte très accueillant. Nous avons même eu droit à une envolée de montgolfières avant notre départ. Il est dur de quitter dans de telles circonstances!

Et soyez sans crainte quant aux frais d’électricité que vous aurez à défrayer; c’est selon votre utilisation durant la période où vous y séjournerez. Rien de majeur comparativement à cette belle opportunité de séjourner dans ce magnifique coin de pays!

We could almost touch the paradise! Installed in the upper of a majestic valley in Tavernelle Val Di Pesa in Toscana, this property offers an incredible panoramic view. Well situated between Firenze, Siena and San Gimignano. We planned to get back to the house by the end of the days to admire the gorgeous sunsets. Great house with all necessary amenities. Very welcoming host. The morning we were leaving, we had the chance to see just in front of us magnificent hot-air balloons! It has made it more difficult to leave this beautiful region!

And don’t be afraid of the electricity costs; it depends on your use during your stay. Nothing major compared to this opportunity to stay in this property!

Zeer moderne woning. Mooi uitzicht op de Chianti-heuvels en San Gimignano in de verte. Heel groot zwembad dat garant staat voor uren zwemplezier.Minpuntjes zijn de stoet familieleden en vrienden van de verhuurders die eveneens gebruik maakten van het zwembad en het feit dat het bovengedeelte van de woning veel vensters bevat zonder goede zonnewering waardoor het zeer warm werd en airco verplicht diende ingeschakeld te worden.

Minuses are the the many relatives and friends of the landlords who also made use of the pool and the fact that the upper part of the house contains many windows without proper sun protection making it very hot and you really needed to turn on the air conditioning.

Très agréable propriété, très calme. Maison bien conçue et bien entretenue, intérieur très lumineux avec vue panoramique sur toute la région. Idem depuis la piscine.
Très bien situé entre Florence; Sienne et San Giminiano.

We had a lovely stay at Casa Lucia. It is a great base from which to explore Tuscany. The views from the house and the pool are fabulous.
The only negative points from us would be that the bathroom needs attention to fix the leaking shower and damp! And we agree with the earlier review that we felt standard electricity use should be included in the price tag. The downstairs bedrooms were cool at night, so we didn't need the air con.

Very nicely located, Casa Lucia is an excellent starting point to visit the central part of Tuscany.

It is a nice little house with stunning views. It comes with some flaws. Sometimes there is no water (when it is very dry), the kitchen could do with more cutlery and utensils, there is no internet (although, is that a flaw?) and it can also be very hot on the top level where the kitchen and living area are. You can use the AC system but be aware, you have to pay for electricity. This is actually the main point of critique: a property with this price tag should have no extra costs.

However, the garden surrounding the house is immaculately maintained, the lower level where the bedrooms are is very cool (literally), the owner Stefano is very friendly and helpful, and the pool is just magnificent. So, a thumbs up from us!

Casa Lucia gave us a holiday we’ll remember fondly for time to come and happily repeat. The house is lovely, well-appointed and tastefully furnished. The grounds are beautiful and the views even better. The location is perfect for trips out to well and less-well known towns in this beautiful part of Tuscany; it is also very convenient for shopping The owners are most kind and helpful and easy to contact. Responses to any requests we made were rapid and peaches from their trees and eggs from their chickens thrown in for good measure! Apart from a new electric broom, we wouldn’t know what could be said to need improvement!

We spent five weeks at Casa Lucia from end of May to end of June 2011 and loved every moment of it. The villa is fitted with everything you need, the large pool is great and the view over the valley is stunning, the location very quiet but central, from where we explored to fantastic Chianti region everyday. To come back to this tranquil place after a busy day exploring was always a highlight. Nearby Tavarnelle is a charmning town with all the ameneties you need.

My family and I stayed at Casa Lucia last October and we loved it. The views are absolutely incredible, from the house and from the beautiful pool. On a clear day we could see the towers of San Gimignano! The house itself is very comfortable- there are many windows and lots of light, the beds are new, there is plenty of space and the house is very clean. We spent a lot of time just lounging by the pool but it was easy to go into Florence by bus, and we drove to San Gimignano and Siena with no problems.

The owners were extremely friendly and helpful, they gave us some great restaurant recommendations and were always happy to answer our questions. They make olive oil and wine right from their property, make sure to taste some. We highly recommend Casa Lucia, we dream about going back and staying again!
