Palazzo Raho is a period noble residence recently renovated with fine finishes to become a charming residence full of works of art by contemporary authors and a unique collection of rare volumes and valuable editions. Every piece of furniture and every single detail is in the sign of Art. The Palace is located in the center of the village of Lequile just 8 km from Lecce and 20 minutes from the splendid beaches of the Ionian coast near Gallipoli and Porto Cesareo. This dwelling is suitable for those who want to live an unprecedented immersive experience, in a luxury environment, with every comfort, in a dimension suspended in time and space, surrounded by art, understood not only in a contemplative sense but as a fruition of everyday life.

COMPOSITION (the building is on two levels)

Ground floor: entrance, large living area, 2 double bedrooms each with its own en-suite shower room, 1 double bedroom with en-suite bathroom and large jacuzzi tub in the room (two of the bedrooms overlook the street) , staircase leading to the first floor, large French window which leads to the external courtyard;

First Floor: 2 double bedrooms each with its own en-suite bathroom with shower, large fully equipped eat-in kitchen, reading / study room, dining room, living area with access to a large terrace set up with table and chairs for al fresco dining of a pergola.

EXTERIOR: on the ground floor there is a beautiful courtyard full of ornamental plants and works of art that frame a large table with chairs, a relaxation area and a small solarium area with sun loungers. From the courtyard there is access to a large stone basin perfect for cooling off on hot summer days. The tub was created in a shaded and reserved area of the courtyard adjacent to the solarium and with convenient access to the outdoor shower.

NOTE: the rental cost includes all utilities, bed linen and towels, pool towels, WiFi internet, daily cleaning service with House Keeper (in the morning), concierge service. On request and at an extra cost it is possible to have: additional cleaning services, personal chef service, car, bike and scooter rental, organization of tours and tastings in the cellar, organization of tours and cultural visits of Lecce.

The origins of the Basilica of Santa Croce go back to the 14th century, when Walter VI, Count of Brienne, founded a monastery on the site. In 1549, construction of the church began, making use of neighbouring sites that had been acquired, including from the homes of Jewish inhabitants who had been ousted from the city 39 years previously. The building was not finished, however, until 1695, almost 150 years later, with various parts completed piecemeal.
