schönes, rustikales häuschen inmitten der natur. anfahrt gewöhnungsbedürftig, da sehr schmal. wer aber ruhe und abgeschiedenheit sucht, jedoch erreichbar, ist dort gut aufgehoben. 20 min bis lugano, [English translation courtesy of Easy Reserve] A lovely, rustic cottage surrounded by nature. The access road takes some getting used to, as it's very narrow. However, if you're looking for peace and quiet, yet still reachable, this is the place for you. 20 minutes to Lugano.

Overall, we had a comfortable and enjoyable stay in October. This is a good location for access to other towns such as Portofino and Sestri Levante and Rapallo has a nice beach and promenade with lots of shops, cafes and restaurants. The host, Verbena was very responsive and very helpful, including putting on the heating! The bedrooms are large with three of the four having plenty of wardrobe space, complete with plenty of hangers. The living space is comfortable and the kitchen is well equipped if you want to self cater. There are however a few factors that you need to consider if arriving by car. As described, the driveway is very steep and narrow but it also has includes a hairpin turn. Whilst there is parking space for at least two cars you need to be sure that you can turn your car(s) around at the bottom. As a family we arrived in a large SUV and a VW van. I found the drive way very challenging and too difficult when the drive was wet, so the SUV was parked at the top of the drive for most of our stay. The VW van would not have negotiated the bend so we had to leave it at the top of the drive way in the shared entrance, which was not ideal. These are factors to take in to account if you are arriving in a large family car such as an SUV or estate car. The neighbourhood is lovely and the view is spectacular. There is a good supermarket with parking a few minutes away but there are no pavements, so we did not walk to and from town which we would have liked to do. We were delighted that the house was dog friendly and having the outdoor space is a real benefit, however on two occasions a large dog from the house next door came into the garden and had to be retrieved by the owner. Whilst the dog was in no way aggressive, just curious, we had to keep our own dogs out of the way and check the garden before letting them out. I’m sure this can be resolved by fixing the wire fence between the properties. Whilst I would recommend this property it would be subject to giving consideration to these factors.

Superbe grande maison, beaucoup de caractère. Grand jardin et grande piscine. Avec une si belle maison, il est dommage que la cuisine ne soit pas superbement équipée. Pour une grande famille comme la notre (nous étions 13). L'espace de préparation des repas est petit, l'évier est minuscule et le frigidaire est plein avec rien. La maison est également située assez loin des commerces les plus proches. Malgré ces détails, nous y avons passé de bon moments. [English translation courtesy of Easy Reserve] Superb, large house with lots of character. Large garden and large swimming pool. With such a beautiful house, it's a shame the kitchen isn't well-equipped. For a large family like ours (there were 13 of us), the food preparation area is small, the sink is tiny, and the fridge is small. The house is also quite far from the nearest shops. Despite these minor issues, we had a wonderful time there.

Viel Platz, bis Rom mit dem Zug in 1,5 Sunden . Vermieter bringt euch für 70 Euro zum Flughafen und umgekehrt.Der Vermieter ist ein netter Mensch, spricht ein wenig Englisch. Das Haus ist halt so eingerichtet , als ob da vor ein paar Jahren eine Familie ausgezogen ist. Lohnt sich auf jeden Fall. [English translation courtesy of Easy Reserve] Plenty of space, and you can get to Rome by train in 1.5 hours. The landlord will take you to the airport and back for 70 euros. The landlord is a nice person and speaks a little English. The house is furnished as if a family had moved out a few years ago. Definitely worth it.
