Ingredients
1 part brandy
1 part advocaat (a creamy liqueur that is very similar to eggnog and is from the Netherlands originally but is now found in supermarkets all over Europe in the winter today)
Method
1. Take a glass that is on the smaller side, like an espresso glass or an Irish coffee glass. This is a very rich drink and is usually not served up in very large quantities – we are warning you for your own sake here! A small amount is perfect and just what the doctor ordered.
2. Heat the advocaat/eggnog mixture in a pan over medium heat until just before boiling – do not let it boil!
3. Pour into your glass.
4. Add the brandy and stir until the two are combined.
5. Top with a healthy dollop of whipped cream and finish by adding a dusting of cinnamon for a perfect festive touch!
