Within the ramparts themselves, there are further fully enclosed gardens that are shared with the guests of the other apartments in the complex. Throughout these interior gardens, there are lots of little spots to sit peacefully and enjoy a coffee or dine al fresco, some charming areas and paths to wander, fragrant roses and other plants and flowers blooming throughout the spring and summer, and generally picturesque little surprises to be stumbled upon. There is also access to the top of the ramparts, from which there are impressive vistas over the beautiful valley below.
Four mountain bikes are kept on the grounds and can be used by guests in order to explore the surrounding area in a more adventurous manner but there are also plenty of lovely hiking trails for those looking to stretch their legs or to really delve into this stunning part of the world. Several trattorias serving delicious local cuisine and wineries that can be visited for tastings are located within just 100m of the property and can be readily enjoyed throughout your stay. As noted, the apartment itself has two bedrooms and one bathroom as well as a small kitchen and a dining/living area. It is spread over two storeys, with a wooden spiral staircase connecting the two. On the ground floor, you can find the cute and serviceable kitchen, which has an oven and stove, a dishwasher, a fridge-freezer, and a Nespresso machine as well as a window overlooking the courtyard of the castle.
