Housed in an 18th century building that was a convent in a former life, this vibrant and exciting store was opened back in 2010 by the discerning Uberta Zambeletti who curates a treasure trove of gorgeous objects from all over the world. From new to handmade to vintage pieces of clothing, accessories, jewellery, stationery, homewares, small gifts, and more, sourced from everywhere from the UK to California, Zambeletti’s store is bursting with colour and surprises and unexpected gems at every turn. The shop itself is also utterly full of colour and character and interesting decor and is a wonderful space in which to browse for something really special, making the whole experience of coming here memorable and enjoyable.
The store's owner Uberta studied in Madrid and Paris and then she went on to complete an HND in Textile Design at Chelsea School of Art and an MA in Fashion Knitwear at the Royal College of Art in London. In the years since, she has worked variously as a fashion designer, stylist, interior decorator, art director, and fashion coordinator for major international brands and well-known companies such as Missoni, Max Mara, Anna Molinari, Etro, Pinko, Sinv and Gruppo Rinascente. As a result, her eye is impeccable and in the over a decade since starting her own brand and opening the store, she has created something rather eclectic, distinct, unique and certainly very special. Wait and See offers a luxurious shopping experience and curation at a certainly not inexpensive but more affordable price point, allowing those who have found a villa in Lombardy and are spending time exploring the city and sartorial scene of Milan to bring a little bit of the city’s famously chic sense of style home with them into their own wardrobes and back as very special souvenirs to their family and friends.
