Bergamo may be a famous foodie destination but there is also more to it beyond just all of the good eating that you can expect when you find a vacation rental in Lombardy. For example, there are great hiking spots to take in wonderful views over the city like the incredible Canto Alto peak that we recently wrote about. However, if you are in it for a bit more of a thrill then we recommend a visit to the nearby Adventure Park Bergamo-Roncola.
Located in the Imagna Valley, the Adventure Park Bergamo-Roncola is made up of two different areas: the Roncola Adventure Park and the Torre Boldone Adventure Park. The Roncola Adventure park is located in a large beech forest and is a classic adventure park that is made up of a series of skill trails suspended between the trees including wooden walkways, Tibetan bridges and suspended trunks, cableways, and areas in which you need to jump across distances. These various trails are categorised by difficulty so that there is something for everyone, no matter your age. There are three different Chick Routes that are for children over three and are up to 110cm in height, 4 Junior Routes for adults and children and are from 110cm in height (with easy to medium options among them), 2 Top Routes that are all over 140cm in height (with a difficult and very difficult option to choose from). In addition to all of the trails, there is also a lovely picnic area and walks through the woods to enjoy as well.
The Adventure Park Torre Boldone, meanwhile, is located inside the Reich Park of Torre Boldone, right at the gates of Bergamo. This adventure park, nestled amongst the greenery of this public park has more suspended paths for all age groups to choose from as well as the Top Tower, a 20m high multi-activity tower with different activity options depending on how brave you are feeling: including bungee jumping, and launching yourself in free flight from heights of 5m, 7m, and 10m into a giant airbag.
So, if you’re holidaying in this part of Italy and looking for a thrill be sure to check the Adventure Park Bergamo-Roncola out!
