The Pirlo: How To Make Brescia's Very Own Spritz

If the Aperol Spritz is the drink of choice in Venice, then the Pirlo is its equivalent in many ways in Brescia. This beautiful city in Lombardy is a wonderful place to spend time, wandering the pretty streets, taking in the beautiful buildings, visiting the parks, museums and UNESCO awarded attractions and more. It is also the perfect place to grab a Pirlo, kick back and relax on your holidays. Just find a vacation rental in Lombardy, hit up the nearest caffe-bar and order the local speciality for yourself.

Combining still white wine, Campari and soda and then garnished with orange slices, it is fresh, intriguing and a perfect balance between sweetness and bitterness: an aperitif par excellence.

Ingredients:

Half a glass of white wine
A splash of soda/sparkling waterfall
30ml of Campari
Some slices of orange for the garnished

Method:

1. Take a large wine glass and fill with ice.

2. Pour the white wine over it.

3. Add a splash of Campari and top up with some soda/sparkling water.

4. Finish off by adding a few slices of orange as the garnish.
