4. La Loggia 13
La Loggia 13 is beautiful property dates back to the 13th century and is situated among olive groves and vineyards on the hills east of Lucca. It is composed of a very old stone-built house and a guesthouse and one can enjoy magnificent views across the surrounding area from both of them. In fact, the main house has a beautiful open loggia with particularly glorious views of the surrounding valley. The owner is an architect and designer by profession and has furnished the property with period furniture and modern facilities. The pool is large and impressive and is in also a beautiful panoramic position. This lovely villa sleeps 13 and has 7 bedrooms and will cost you from just €540 per night.
5. La Gigia
La Gigia is a lovely house, located in a very quiet position on a hillside on the Versilian coast. It is a convenient walk from the village of Capezzano Monte and only 6 km away from Pietrasanta, an attractive town known as the, 'City of Arts' and 'the little Athens'. Recently totally restored using only typical Tuscan materials and equipped with sophisticated and environmentally friendly appliances, it is stylishly and pleasantly decorated throughout. The views from the whole property on the sea are spectacular and stretch from Elba Island to the Cinque Terre. There are several areas to relax or dine enjoying breathtaking views and the stunning infinity swimming pool is the pièce de résistance. This incredible villa sleeps 8 in 4 bedrooms 4 and is priced from € 507 per night.
6. Castello Pandolfini
Castello Pandolfini is located 3km from San Polo In Chianti, Italy and only 18km from Greve In Chianti. There are nine bedrooms that can accommodate up to 18 guests comfortably and seven bathrooms. With lovely and perfectly manicured gardens, walkways through areas of forestry, covered dining al fresco, stunning historic interiors, a large dining room that can accommodate large crowds, a wonderful kitchen, several lounge rooms, high ceilings and big rooms throughout, and great views across the surrounding area; the property, as a whole is spectacular. One of its best features, however, is the pool. Large and rectangular, it isn't unique in its design but is perfectly located in a sunny spot with trees next to it that can shade half of the sun beds and leave the other half for basking. The perfect spot for a wedding or extended family, it is available from € 1500 per night.
7. Al Seminario
Al Seminario is a lovely stone farmhouse that is situated in a private and beautiful position in the hills between Lucca and the coast. The house has been furnished in a charming and cosy way but the outdoor spaces are equally appealing. A wisteria covered pergola stretches along the front of the house and is an ideal place for al fresco meals. In front of this pergola, there is an incredible infinity pool that has been installed in the most panoramic spot on the estate. The property is located just a 30 minute drive from nearby beaches and the area is perfect for biking excursions, hiking, horseback journeys and boating excursions in the Lucca Province. A wonderful family destination, the property sleeps 8 in 4 bedrooms and is available from just € 338 per night.
