We've rounded up just ten of our top picks among the best pools we have on offer to give you a taste of what you can expect.

1. Casale Pienza
Casale Pienza is a strikingly sweet farmhouse dating back to the 18th century that is made up of independent units (rented as one) on a beautiful 5–hectare estate with panoramic views across the Val d’Orcia. Located only a short distance from the charming medieval town of Pienza, it was carefully restored preserving its original Tuscan architectural features and has been decorated tastefully in a romantic rustic style, befitting a country house. The best feature in this generally lovely property, however, is probably the outdoor space. There is a simple but carefully groomed garden and, the star of the show, an incredible pool. Half inside the property itself and half outside, it is a partially covered pool with doors that close across the exterior and from which there are incredible views over the surrounding landscape. This charming and pretty little property sleeps 14, has 8 bedrooms and is available to rent with prices starting at € 628 per night.

2. Villa Ferdinando
Villa Ferdinando is a lovely villa with pool, strategically located halfway between Florence and Siena. Renovation of the property was completed in 2013, and the property has been furnished with exceptional taste and attention to detail. Outside there is a large, well-tended garden that offers panoramic views across the surrounding area and all around are vineyards and olive groves, from which the owners produce wine and olive oil (guests are offered a tasting in the estate's cellars). Convenient for visiting important centres and towns in the area such as Siena, Florence, San Gimignano and the entire Chianti area, you may, however, want to stay at home and enjoy the villa instead. The big kidney-shaped pool, surrounded by lounge beds, served by a covered dining/lounging area for those more wary of the sun's rays and with views over the Tuscan countryside, makes for an incredibly appealing holiday set-up that is hard to abandon – even for some of the world's most famous attractions. This picture-perfect property sleeps 12 in 6 bedrooms with prices starting from € 678 per night.

3. Camporempoli
Camporempoli is an exquisitely restored and tastefully furnished Tuscan-style farmhouse, situated right in the heart of Chianti Classico. Its secluded position offers incredible views across the surrounding area and the windows all act as frames, setting up painting-like visuals. The living areas all open via french windows onto the garden on one side and an internal patio on the other, the patio is set up with a lovely vine-covered pergola and marble table for “al fresco” dining and to the front of the house there are furnished terraces. Everything about the house is perfectly set up to enjoy the views. The beautiful swimming pool with overflow effect, is located in a particularly panoramic position and has a large shallow end for children. The perfect option for families and groups of friends with fun and scenic surroundings aplenty to impress everyone, this villa sleeps 9, has 6 bedrooms and can be jours from just € 427 per night!
