Palazzo Fizzarotti: A Venetian Palace In The South Of Italy

Palazzo Fizzarotti
The coastal city of Bari in the region of Apulia, is a lively and beautiful city in southern Italy. Divided into two main quarters, the old town and the modern part of the city, it is a pretty and cultured city with lots to see and do. If you have found a luxury villa in Apulia and are planning a trip to the city, make sure to check out the Palazzo Fizzarotti, which is a stunning architectural gem in this cultural hotspot of a destination.

Palazzo Fizzarotti is, surprisingly, a Venetian Gothic style building but it is located on the opposite side of the country on the Corso Vittorio Emanuele, in the historic center of Bari. It was built in the late 1800s and early 1900s and was designed by architects Bernich and Corradini.
Its pretty facade is divided into five ogival arches and framed by two towers, topped by domes with gold-leafed mosaics. The upper register is faced by an arcade and each window above ground floor level boasts a balcony. The overall result is ornate and, due to the perfect symmetry, wonderfully balanced.

Inside, the entrance opens through a main hall to the imposing Neptune Fountain, located in the rear courtyard. Each floor is elegantly and beautifully decorated, reflecting different periods and styles and changes over the years but it has, overall, been well-preserved.

This picturesque building is a popular spot for weddings and events and, as it is currently for sale, could even be yours! If you don't have tens of millions to spend on a palace in Italy, you can merely admire this Venetian-style beauty from outside while you holiday in the South of Italy from the outside or contact them as private tours can sometimes be arranged upon request.
