The Via Dell'Amore is the most famous walk in the beautiful Cinque Terre area – a string of five centuries-old seaside villages on the rugged Italian Riviera coastline, which is linked by the Sentiero Azzurro cliffside hiking trail.
This stretch is the easiest section of the Sentiero Azzurro (Blue Trail) which takes walkers from Riomaggiore to Monterosso and is known for being particularly romantic and offering especially beautiful views across the ocean and surrounding landscape.

The trail can be accessed from both the Riomaggiore and the Manarola entrance and it is well signposted so you cannot miss it. It is managed by the Parco Nazionale delle Cinque Terre so you do have to pay an entrance fee to walk the trail and you will be asked to show your ticket. However, if you have bought a Cinque Terre Card, it will also cover entrance to the Via dell’Amore.
The walk itself only lasts about fifteen minutes but takes most people around thirty as there are benches lining the trail, from which there are great views, and the Bar dell’Amore, a small café where you can get something to eat and drink.
It is also worth noting that it is an easy walk on a flat, paved walkway and, as such, is pretty much accessible to everyone.
