
Brisighella is a medieval town and spa centre in Emilia-Romagna which has been recognised as one of the Best Small Towns of Italy and has received an Orange Flag for its preservation of the town's historical centre, sustainable tourism and easily accessible tourist information services. Not only charming and chock full of things to do, the town also takes good care of its visitors. Additionally, though it has lots to offer, it is never overrun with tourists. Located in the Lamone Valley on the Lamone River, it has beautiful surroundings and looks like something out of a fairytale with its distinct silhouette. One of the most famous things to do in the town is visit the spa. The baths, or terme, are located by the river and surrounded by the peace and tranquillity of a massive park where you can go walking or jogging. The historic centre of town is full of things to see with beautiful churches such as the Church of Saints Michele and Giovanni Battista and Church and Convent of Santa Maria degli Angeli and the Palazzo Maghinardo, which is the town hall and tourist information centre.
Via degli Asini, a street lined with porticos and lanterns, has a raised, covered passageway which was built in the 12th century and is one of the most unique features of the town. Other highlights include La Rocca Manfrediana, a 14th century fortress which dominates the skyline of the town, set atop a hill.
The Torre dell'Orologio, a 13th century clocktower, is set on a pinnacle facing the fortress across the town. Inside the tower is the Museum of Time while The Civic Museum of Brisighella has a wonderful collection of 19th and 20th century prints.

You can go on wine-tasting tours of local vineyards, take Italian cooking lessons, visit the nearby nature reserve, take a mountain biking tour, go on hiking trips, take guided tours of the historic centre and go on food tastings.
